uh so today we have this on from uh mariana so vishal is a founding partner at mariana and is currently using machine learning natural language processing and statistical analysis to solve multiple business problems in manufacturing supply chain and sustainability he's also leading the effort to build an area platform for the future he has previously worked in multiple roles including management technology leader consultant and hands-on architects he has a broad background in design development architecture and management and experience in life sciences vishal is a peter in engineering from indiana technology character and also an mba from nyu stones all right thanks for the introduction and welcome everyone good afternoon [Music] so um you know i've been attending a lot of uh talks so far this is especially very good confidence from a perspective of getting a high level overview of you know what's going on um and this particular one hopefully will be interesting for you because we are solving the data problem and in the sense that you know i mean even in the session this morning i saw there's so much of innovation going on in collecting data from different kinds of spectrometers doing some particle analysis and you know we have so many vendors over here who have their latest greatest gadgets out there that can collect all of this data but for the longest time ped and cpv you know they have not been able to completely understand or unlock the potential of all of this data this particular talk is going to focus more on the reasons why that is the case there are multiple different things that come in the way uh functional silos and organizational priorities the piece that we will focus on is basically overcoming the technical limitations and the complexities so that could be the core focus and i know i have 30 minutes so i'll try to be wise about my time i'll cover the topics that i think will give you a good foundation in terms of all the good practices that we have seen work very well for the places where some of our case studies from where we bring our case studies but you're also around so you know if you have detailed questions you'll be here for the next couple of days happy to engage in some detailed conversations with all of you the way i would use the time is i first spend a little bit of time in really describing the problem that we are that you know that we are trying to solve here of the problem that we have seen solved in terms of the data it's important because i think depending upon where we are all coming from our perception of how to bring things together from a data perspective and use it in a cohesive way across the enterprise across the multiple functional cycles could be very difficult our individual experiences could be very different so...
