[Music] hi and welcome to another episode of our tech tip tuesdays video series today we'll be updating our email signature with our new 40-year logo in celebration of four decades of youth family and community to get started head over to our sci staff portal at www.selfenhancement.org forward slash toolkit you'll be asked to provide a password which is uppercase s e i lowercase toolkit with no spaces once you have entered the portal navigate to our email signature templates where you will find our 40-year email signature document by double clicking on this you will open a new tab with the signature template don't start adding your info quite yet as we want to keep all the formatting consistent across the agency instead navigate up to the edit drop down menu and click on select all then navigate back to the edit drop down menu and select copy after doing this you can open a new tab and navigate to your sei gmail account in the upper right hand corner you should see a gear icon next to your profile image click the gear and then select see all settings scroll down almost all the way to the bottom until you see your signature block editor which should look like this now let's create a new signature leaving your original signature alone so we can use it again in the future click on create new name it 40 year signature and click create now we have a brand new empty editor right click inside the editor box and select paste now you can go ahead and switch out the placeholders with your information be sure to only select the text you are currently replacing and do only one section at a time so we can keep all the formatting consistent across the agency once you have added all of your information and removed any unused placeholders navigate down just below the editor where it is marked signature defaults and choose the 40 year signature from the drop down under 4 new emails once you have done that scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click save changes to confirm everything worked properly you can now click the compose button in the top left corner and your new signature block should auto populate in the email editor go ahead and send yourself a test email to see what your new signature will look like when received by the people you interact with thanks for watching see you next time [Music] you
