Hey guys welcome back this is Bernardo from the BTNHD and welcome to another exciting Tech Tip Tuesday and today is all about renaming a group of files so let's get into it. All right so renaming a bunch of files within your windows 10 machine right so on my desktop I have a folder called BTNHD we're going to double click on it to open it up. As you can see I got a bunch of Word documents, text files and PDF now to rename there's a couple ways to rename right. If you select your file, and you press the f2 function key, it's going to automatically select the file name and then you're able to rename it. And once you're done hit enter and your done. Now to rename a bunch of files altogether. If you select all the files that you want. For this example I selected four text files and the way that you select multiple files is if you hold the Ctrl key, and you select the ones that you want. And again if you press f2 function key is going to select one of the files. And this allows you to rename it. For example I renamed it as BTNHD dash one. And if you hit enter, it's going to rename, all the files that you selected to BTNHD dash one, but with a number sequence. Now, this works great if you are naming a particular file like chapter one, chapter two, chapter three, you can do it that route. Now another way to rename your files, is if you select your file or multiple files, and on the Home tab, you have an option to rename so if you click on the Rename button, boom. takes you directly they are you able to change the name hit Enter and your done, and that's it guys hopefully you guys enjoy this video make sure to hit that like button also do not forget about punching, elbow and smashing that subscribe button to get the latest and greatest from this guy and I catch you guys on the next Tuesday.
