you hello everyone how are you doing this is M detective another quick tutorial in today's tutorial I'm gonna show you guys how to change the name of your account on Windows 10 so everybody has a unique login name on your Windows computer and in this tutorial I'm going to show you guys how to change name of it so couple different ways we're going to go through this tutorial the first will be if you're using a local base account so if you don't actually have a Microsoft email associated with your login credentials you want to type in control panel best match should come back with control panel right above desktop that just love court on that one time and you want to set your view by up here so click on this little drop-down and set it to large icons and now you want to go down and left click on user accounts so right here my left coupon that this will apply for earlier versions of Windows as well by the way so this will be for Windows 7 1 Y or Z so we're gonna go and left click on change the account name or change your account name so I'll put one then now type in whatever new accounting you want to change make sure it's one you're currently logged into you're welcome to change out their name small but just gonna give you guys an idea so we can call it just call it empty tank videos both quick one change name and there you go guys simple as that or a user name has been changed now if you're using a Microsoft based account so if you have an email address that's tied directly to your account you're gonna just close out of here and one instead going to go over in this our menu type in settings best man should come back with settings right above trust in Microsoft Store app it's my left click on that one time and now you want to laughs click on the account style on this page you see here so just left call on that one time and now if you did have a Microsoft account because you could see that I was using a local account to sign in to this computer but let's just say I was using a Microsoft account you go underneath your email and app accounts sign on the left side here there'd be a button to manage my Microsoft account so you click that hyperlink take you to a Microsoft web site and then the left side you were left click on edit name and that points off going at a name and in store whatever name you want to change and that's about it so just wanna give you guys an idea and as always thank you for watching I do about was able to help you out and I look forward to catching you all in the next tutorial goodbye
