hey there folks Layne here with Windows 10 update dot-com today I'm going to show you how to change the name of a OneNote notebook now obviously it's pretty easy to change the name of any of these pages or even one of these sections but changing the name of the notebook can actually be a little bit difficult and troublesome now you can right-click on a OneNote notebook here but you can see there isn't an option for you to change the name right here now if you are an office 365 subscriber you could go ahead and launch the OneNote 2016 application and change it from there but in my experience that's actually still unreliable and you don't see those changes take place across all your different apps so the way that you can actually go ahead and change this is actually pretty simple what you want to do is launch your favorite web browser and then go to onedrive dot live.com from here it should ask you to login I've already done that in preparation for this video now what you will find here is that you are going to have your OneNote notebooks inside of one of these folders so what you can do is once you find the OneNote notebook that you want to go ahead and change just right-click on it and then go ahead and say rename so you're renaming the name of this file but in addition you are also going to be changing the name of that notebook so we'll go ahead and save that so this YouTube channel used to be titled the truth and then now it should be the truth on YouTube channel so we'll just go ahead and say sync this notebook and there we go within just a couple of seconds it's already updated so that is how you can go ahead and change the name of a OneNote notebook in Windows and this again will reflect across all of your applications that's it for today thanks for watching
