hi this video is going to show you what happens when there is no attachment or to a student's assignment in Google classroom and how a student can get that attachment back so I'm signed into Google here as a teacher and I'm just going to go to Google classroom and I'm going to open up my class and I'm going to go to an assignment here so I have one here called volcano study and I can see it's been assigned to six students so I'm gonna click on it and what I do so I can see that these first five students all have a Google Doc attached to their assignment for them however this sixth student down here it says no attachments so what has happened is this student has opened up the assignment and they've removed the attachment and that's why they do not have a Google Doc to submit as part of their assignment so unfortunately the teacher cannot do this next step the student has to be the one to open up the assignment and reattach the file so let's see what that looks like I'm going to go up to the top right here and I'm just going to choose to login as a student and I'm going to go into the Google classroom I'll go to the class work here is the volcano study page when I open it up and click the assignment as we want our students to do we can see that there is no Google Doc for that student however what the student has to do to reattach their file is they need to click make a copy so when I click on this make a copy here we'll notice that the assignment gets reattached in this section so there it is there it's now reattached and if I go back over to the teacher account here and I'll just refresh the page we will be able to see that that student now has their assignment back in there or sorry the student now has their attachment back in their assignment and they can do the work and turn it in and submit it so I hope this video showed you how a student can read watch an assignment that has been removed or deleted as always if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to one of your telt C's telt C list at RCDs Bo NCA thank you
