pl tr this is a stock i talk about frequently on my channel and they had some big announcements recently with their demo day event where they unveiled exactly what the company does in their three major softwares on top of this just yesterday the company also announced that they had a new multi-year partnership with rio tinto r-i-o and this is actually really big news this could mean massive amounts of revenue for the company moving forward and i think you're really going to want to stick around for this because i think this is going to dramatically help palantir stock in the next couple our group using the link down below we have a great time over there so anyways let's first start off with palantir and their demo day so on january 26 2021 palantir had their inaugural demo day where they unveiled and demonstrated all of their products to regular everyday investors and consumers so just people like you and me because previously volunteer was a very secretive company people didn't really know exactly what was going on with them they work with a lot of um top secret government agencies where they can't always disclose everything they're doing so palantir was doing this demo day as a way to be more open with investors really show them as much as they can about what the company does and it actually paid off big time for the stock the stock price rose nearly 20 percent in just a matter of days after they first announced the demo day since then the stock has cooled off a bit but at demo day what they talked about was they talked about their three main softwares and i'm not going to go too much into detail if you want to read up on them i'll link the full presentation in the full video for demo day in the description we're just going to go over the basics of things that are important on top of demonstrating how their two main softwares work called gotham and foundry palantirs data platforms they also talked about their apollo software as well so the apollo software is essentially just an updating software it makes sure that foundry and gothams always stay up to date with the most relevant information and always is updating their softwares but essentially what they did is they spoke about all three of these softwares what they do how it helps their customers and other projects that they are working on they went into some detail about how they work with the department of defense on level seven top secret um top secret projects and how these are extremely sensitive projects and they have a number of deals over there so over the last couple of weeks palantir this demo day was really great news they seem to deliver on everything they said investors really seem to like it but they didn't give any signals or any hints at how the company's doing in terms of earnings which is set to come out in the first week of february or anything like that but other than that demo day did fairly well in recent weeks palantir has been securing contract after contract after contract they secured some with the government organizations some with just general companies and fortune 500 companies but just the other day palantir announced a multi-year partnership um with rio tinto rio and the new partnership with rio tinto builds on several successful data integration projects explored last year across various business units and they explained how this is a significant industry partnership for palantir according to their ceo he explained how their foundry platform has been used extensively to accelerate delivery and optimize value chains across a number of market sectors where safety matters so they said this partnership will be extremely helpful over the next couple of years it's going to generate massive amounts of revenue for the company and i think this stock is going to do well in the next three to five years currently the valuation is fairly high with a market cap close to 62 billion dollars which is very high for a company that generates only about a billion dollars in revenue a year either way though palantir is the future of data analytics security and ai technology they have massive contracts with the government with large organizations and they're continuing to build upon their top secret government organization contracts which i think will lead to more business for them down the road especially as more people will start trusting them and more companies will want to do business with them because they know they can trust them with their data so anyways if you want more details on the three softwares that palantir uses um i'll link those down below so you can read up on that but essentially the important part is that they are no longer as secretive as they used to be they're letting investors know more about the company exactly what goes on behind the scenes and that's what people want to know when investing in a company there's no way of knowing everything that goes on behind the scenes but if you
