hey what is up you guys hesitated here from should you buy it and because there was no coupon in video this week I planned him to an air I went and got coupons and then Jason just he had a really weird day and we ended up not going for bunny so today I thought I would tell you a bunch of different ways that you can save on formula now obviously if you can breastfeed because that is free ish definitely do that but of course a lot of women including myself could not breastfeed so we decided to go onto formula I did pump for a long time and gave him a pumped breast milk but I never of course made enough pumped breast milk to give him so he was always supplementing with formula so I thought I would just give you guys my tips and my tricks on how to save on formula so the first thing is you want to figure out what formula is best for your child now if you can use cow's milk formula like enfamil and Similac their basic ones that's gonna save you a lot of money then going on non cows make milk formula that kind of formula is a lot more expensive and if you don't have to then it's not not a route you want to go now if you have to do to a allergy or any other reason then i would suggest going and talking to your pediatrician sometimes they can write a prescription for that certain type of formula and your insurance could possibly cover a lot or most of it because it's a prescribed product for your child so think about that but of course if you don't have to use if you can use cow's milk formula then definitely do that so you've kind of found what formula that works for your child etc one thing that I did is instead of buy name-brand I bought so this is the Target store brand this is 35 ounces and it costs $20 basically sometimes you can buy to get like a $5 gift card um but a size like this for Enfamil which is this is like the store brand version of it will cost you anywhere from thirty five to thirty nine dollars so right there you're almost saving 50% now you've course there's a bunch of other things but I always go store-brand that's gonna be one way now of course if you don't mind going store brands which I don't see why anybody would they're almost the exact same thing try going Sam's or Costco this is a 48 ounce dry ounce bottle this cost $21 so it's only a dollar difference between the two and you get an additional 13 ounces of dried formula which is going to save you in a long run so if you don't mind going store-brand of course Sam's at least my Sam's does carry Similac Enfamil formula so you can try going there as well and bind there that'll save you a little bit of money but if you can't go store-brand go slow ever end and then go Sam's brand because there it's always gonna be bigger and it's gonna be a tiny bit more a dollar for me and you're gonna get a lot more that being said if you do not want to go store brands always go online and to Similac Enfamil calm or Gerber I'm not 100% sure if Gerber does this but I know Similac Enfamil do and sign up for their coupon checks yes so they will mail you checks worth anywhere from five to sixteen dollars Similac Enfamil and you can use those checks as a form of payment on your formula now of course it has to be infant formula and it has to be that brand that's also a way you can save some money it's usually five or ten dollars here there but if you are strictly formula feeding that can save up and you can actually save a lot of money and I know it's Similac the more checks you use the higher your checks become and eventually you'll get a check for a free can I have before and that has actually been really helpful for me so sign up for those free checks they will help you another thing you can do is buy in bulk now I'm not talking about Sam's or Costco but you can usually go on to Enfamil or Similac website or even Gerber and buy like a case of formula they usually give you anywhere from ten to fifteen percent off and sometimes you can get buy-one-get-one-free cans that way or it's like AIT's get a case for free so make sure to go on there you can buy a bulk if you know about approximately how much your child uses for example my child goes to about two of these a month so if you know roughly how much you know they use you know how much to buy etc etc so that is another thing that you can do is buy in bulk that will save you money and you're buying directly from the company to the other thing which we talked about a lot on this channel is coupons coupons for formula are very rare because they do send out formula checks but I have seen Enfamil coupons manufacturer coupons that being said if you have some you can use the checks on top of the coupons because the checks are a form of payment they are not a manufacturer coupon so when you go to the store like you're going to to Target they scan the coupon it takes off to whatever $3 and then the form of payment then you give them the coupon check you can use both of those on top of each other do not be afraid to and if your cashier whatever has a problem with it just explain to them very nicely because they don't have to do this that that's a coupon etc and this is a check etc so just just a heads up you can use the coupons in the checks push coupons are very rare I've only seen one coupon one set of coupons in the many years I've coupons of course I have never really looked but just just a heads up the other thing you can do ask your pediatrician for samples if you're still trying to find a formula that works for you my pediatrician gave me Enfamil samples and Similac samples they're little like a tout you know they're bigger than that they're probably like a third of this so maybe like 12 ounce cans and you can use those and see how your child reacts to those coupon coupons cans set formula whatever it is they can react to whatever I give them but make sure to figure out which them they use oh I'm having a stroke or something which formula is the best for them and keeping on that because that was you in the long run not having to try a bunch of different formulas not buying this for $35 and then it not working after two scoops I mean it can it can get kind of pricey to figure out exactly what formula so get those free samples from your pediatrician or your OBGYN might give me free samples they will also send you free samples in the mail Similac Enfamil will so just sign up for those if you're going to sign up for those go directly to their website do not use like the mom freebies calm or all that other just go directly to their website sign up et cetera and try those out and if you are having problems with any kind of formula you do you make sure to talk to your pediatrician about that because it could be a allergy or something that's kind of weird like I'm on a mom scoop on Facebook and somebody posted that these have gluten in them which is just kind of like a filler I guess and their child was allergic to the gluten in the formula so just a heads up there another one is buying the powder instead of the ready-mades can help you save a lot of money ready-mades are more expensive and i understand the the easiness of ready-mades i do keep a ready-made 8 ounce bottle in my bag just in case I forget powder or we run out of powder while we're out and about but since he's gotten older and he eats more foods it's gotten a lot better that I haven't had to use that I have had to pull that out before cuz we spent and couple extra hours out longer than what I was expecting and he was hungry and I didn't have any more dried powder formula so I do give him I would give him that so the ready-mades are gonna be a lot more expensive and set powder so definitely go powder I suggest give me one of those little containers like munchkin has them Walmart brand has them and they have little individual slots that you can store a nut or powder in like you can pre-measure out and just take that with you that helps a ton get one of those they're like three or four dollars I think I'm on Amazon um at Walmart I'm pretty sure you can probably get at my target but go and get one of those it'll help you out tremendously especially if you're out and about so another way to save on formula of course is I gotta what I thought it let me clap my hand somewhere I bought it as a rebate service that you can get on your phone you sign up it's free and you can submit your receipts and you get cash back for your rebate so for example this is $21 and on ibotta right now and all the members mark formula they have a rebate of $4 bringing this total down to 17 bucks for this so if you purchase this upload your receipt on ibotta and you get four dollars back you do have to have a minimum of $20 to cash out your money but other than that I bought it it's a really great way make sure to also upload your receipts to fetch you'll get points that turn into gift cards I have used both a lot recently and I've had really good success with them so I will leave my referral links down low what that does is it joins you into a group I like something I bought it does and then our savings go into like a little can use that on top of your coupons and your checks so make sure to get on ibotta it'll save you some money it'll get you some money back that is one thing get on I bought it even if you're not on formula that you can get any item you know any item any for vitamin thing etc etc they will you'll get money back eventually and it'll start to add up and it's kind of nice to be like oh I have a $20 check out ooh like I can buy myself something on Amazon right now you know cuz you can check it out as like an Amazon gift card or as money etc but make sure you get on I bought it I will leave my referral links down below and also make sure to skin your receipts on fetch so you can get rewards points as well so my last thing to save on formula is see if you qualify for wick wick is stands for women infant children and there government ran facility facility program something that will help you with the cost of formula or the cost of groceries a little bit depending on your child's age so go to their website go to your state and see if your household income qualifies for WIC and if it does then they will help you pay for formula and that can save you a lot of money so make sure to check that out use your resources if you do qualify for them especially for your children and all this other drives I mean you pay for them for your taxes you might as well use them so yeah that is my last thing on how to save on formula I'm going to tell you a couple things not to do to save on formula of course never make your own formula please do not make your own formula there's no way at home to basically make your own formula that has the same nutritions and all that that store-bought formula is there's no way to really do that so don't do it if you are low on formula or if you are running out of formula and you do not have the money for it go call your doctor's office called the hospital call somebody somebody will help you somebody will get you formula if you desperately need it for your child so do not make your own formula at home also do not give your child cow's milk if they're under a year does not have the same nutritional value and it can just just just don't do it if you are desperate to that you need formula you know go to the hospital if it's like if it's a holiday go to the hospital if it's not call your doctors they can give you some of those sample cans so that they can you know you can not least make it by if you are in a pinch of course call your WIC office if you do qualify for waking you already set up with them they can definitely help you out now one thing with WIC is it's not supposed to cover 100% of formula it can until your child starts to eat more but they're supposed to help you of course not pay for it yourself so just just ahead that's
