so welcome again to part two of our series in collecting data in collector for ArcGIS and then getting your data into the geo database so now we're at the part of getting data into our geo database, let's go now that we've synced our data we are ready to go back to arcGIS online extract our data and import it into our geo database. once we log on to arcGIS online we will go to the content tab and we will open or collector web map now that it is open we will see that it has been updated with the features that we've collected so far. once we see the features we will go to the analysis tab at the top left and we are going to manage data we will extract data and I must say that there there is another way to do this however if you want only some of the data or only new data that's been collected this is a way to do it you can actually extract data from the contents page however once you export it from there from the contents page that is, you will be exporting all of the data so if you had old data that would be re-exported as well however if you want to export only new data you need to go into the web map as I am doing here and run the analysis to extract data so I'm actually going to save it as a shapefile and then once it is done it will tell me that it is available in my content once I find it in the content tab I can just click on the menu button to download remember I said we had the option to export all data meaning old and new this is where we do it this is where we would export all data from so now I'm exporting it here as a geodatabase so I am exporting all of my data all at once if there was old data there it's been exported along with the new data when you export it to a file geodatabase you are also exporting the attachments so any photos or videos that you would have taken in the field it will also be exported using this method be mindful that your data is being downloaded into a zip file so you will have to extract that once the data is extracted you will simply go back to your catalog window either through catalog itself or through arcmap and you will load or append your existing geo database to accommodate the downloaded shapefile or the downloaded geodatabase you can load or append your existing organizations geodatabase through any method that you are most comfortable with in terms of getting data into your geo database here I'll show you how to append and load first I'll show you how to append and then I'll show you how to load your geo database so now that we've collected our data in the collector for arcGIS app and we've also appended or existing geo database we are good to go for the next project now earlier I talked about the location tracking feature template I will be showing you that in my next video along with adding widgets to your operations dashboard to monitor and track your field activities and staff and this is without using ArcGIS server this is purely reliant on arcgis online and its location tracking features. so as usual thanks again for watching and please don't forget to like and subscribe for more tutorial
