hey smartphone foreigners if you're looking to really save time while typing on your phone then you have to be using the text replacement feature I love it ease it all the time and here's a quick tutorial and how you can use it and be sure to stay until the end of the video because I have something really cool that goes along with this tutorial okay so your text replacement tool is basically creating shortcuts for longer pieces of text that you often use on your phone that you don't even maybe think about or realize you possibly maybe using the bitly app for some of these things and you really should be using text replacement I believe so you can do this on Android devices to it's a little different but it's easy and just google it you'll find the tutorials you need on the internet but on an iPhone you would go to settings and then you can either swipe down and type in keyboard or go to general scroll down to keyboard and then go to text replacement which is just another way to stay shortcuts for your text it's like shorthand basically i'm not going to scroll through because i'm not really sure if i have some private stuff on here or not but you can search all of your shortcuts that you create their alphabetical and you can search them to easily access them to create a shortcut you touch the plus sign and then you type the phrase that you want to put it in and then right here you think of a shortcut some suggestions or that it should be something that you easily can think of and remember but it also can't be something that you would frequently type normally saying other types of things because then it will pop up when you don't want it to and it's super annoying so for example I might sometimes I do like the first letter of each word but that's I GH that could be in high you know like high and low or whatever so I may not want to do that sometimes what I'll do is I'll just pick one of the words like home and then I'll add a number usually one but I've been thinking about is that really the best smartest way because I'm having to switch over to the symbols number keyboard and that's annoying so maybe I might want to just like add an unused and you know I'm frequently used letter like Z or X or something but whatever you decide to do on this you want to make sure that it is consistent so that you're not always like actually wasting time trying to figure out what is not a shortcut for this phrase because that happens to me I'm still trying to get my system to as to what is the way that I always want to label my text that I have shortcuts for that I can easily remember they don't pop up on me when I don't want them to and that just saved me a lot of seconds on my phone okay so when y where would you use text replacements in your personal life any statement that you're constantly saying all the time needs to have a shortcut for you know whether you're saying I'm going home i love you i miss you I'm going to the store I don't know you know whatever you're saying all the time to friends and family through text create a shortcut for that your user names for any of your logins definitely create shortcuts for those your email addresses your website link to your business all of your social media accounts for your business the links to those definitely create shortcuts for because you never know when you want to share those when you're on your phone and you don't want to be trying to search for those links hashtags this is something I was using a separate app for and you can use this for that and I love it you just whatever your set of hashtags are the cheese or you might have different groups of hashtags just create a shortcut for that and then when you're on Instagram you just type in your little tiny shortcut and up will pop up all your hashtags and this is great when your Instagram account updates or if you have to Instagram accounts like I do it you're always switching back and forth you lose the memory of those hashtags and it's annoying so this way you can just automatically pump them up and I have different sets of hashtags I use depending on the photo so it's all right here on my text replacement features you can also use this for Q&A with your customers if you're getting the same type of questions and you're having to answer a lot similar answers on your phone and email or whatever you can create the answer right here I have searched if there is a character count limit and I cannot find that and I have a Q&A in here and answer that it's a couple paragraphs long and it totally works and it's amazing it just saves me so much time and I'm not having to go into like a clipboard app in order to paste that or into my notes or anything like that it's just i do my shortcut and i'm done um your newsletter link anything like that that you could be sharing frequently at all on your phone make a shortcut for it and it really requires you stopping in the moment and either edit lighter for yourself to create a shortcut later on or creating the shortcut in the moment because believe me you will say seconds and those seconds will add up to and then you will really save some time with this feature and that's really what you want to do in your life you don't want to be spending all your time writing out the same text over and over again on your phone if you don't have to and with this
