all right so you came here to get your podio set up the right way so that's exactly what we're gonna do by the end of this five part series of videos in this playlist on podio and smartphone you're gonna have between a fifteen hundred dollar and three thousand dollar podio setup depending on which developer you ask so let's go not only are you going to have a podio setup that's worth a solid chunk of change but you're also going to have a phone platform integrated into your podio to make your life a lot easier than it probably is right now with your follow-up things like that if you want to see a previous video i made on why i switched from callrail to the new phone platform called smartphone without the a um i'll post a link to that video i'll put a card up here on top of the screen you can go check out that video and then come back to this one so you'll see why i switched and regardless of whether or not you're going to be using podio as your crm i recommend using smartphone just because by itself it's still a really good phone platform and if you do decide you want to sign up a smartphone and you don't even want to use podio be sure to use my link in the description instead of five dollars per phone number per month you can get the phone numbers for three dollars so you get a discount with that and that'll save you money every single month in the fourth video i'm actually gonna go over and walk through getting smartphones set up so these videos are actually gonna come out in if you're watching this on the first day then the video will come out the next day if you caught this like a week after they all came out it should be fine but the fourth video is going to be setting up smartphone if you want to jump the gun just make sure that you use that link below so there is an order to this madness and uh i recommend you doing setting up your podium and smartphone in this order just because of the way things are gonna get connected and it's gonna make a whole lot of sense to you once we get into it it probably won't right off the bat but just trust me save yourself the headache and set this up in this order so the next two videos are gonna be setting up your podio account the fourth video this being the first video so in three videos from now we're gonna be setting up your smartphone account and then in the following video we're gonna set up some basic automations that are foundational for this setup and uh you'll see what i'm talking about when we get there if you wanna see what we're going to be building right it doesn't make sense to watch all five of these videos and be like yeah i don't even want that podio anyways i wanted to do a demonstration and show you exactly what you're going to get in these next five videos so to do that let's jump on over into the computer alright so here we are over in my podio system so what you're gonna do whenever you get a new lead you're gonna add a contact and we're gonna make a lead called john doe and you're gonna we're gonna be creating this in the next video so don't sweat this right now don't try to copy it right now it's no big deal put in a bogus phone number just some some notes kyle sms sms phone number and that's what's going to create a contact that is going to automatically create a lead so then you click over on the lead and this is where all the like property information the lead status all that stuff is going to be so then from here is where you really fill out so you've got all these different temperature elite temperatures property all that let's just call it columbia tennessee you're going to get the map you can click on that and go take a look at it like i said all this stuff right and this is going to allow you to really track your stuff and the cool part is so what i want to do actually i want to put a working phone number in here so i can show you this so i got this phone right here this is actually my uh my ladies office phone because i'm recording with my phone so i can't show you so we're gonna add an actual phone number and then we're going to go back to the lead so you can see it changed and what i want to do is kind of illustrate to you how this is towards the end of the videos you'll be able to add this feature if you want it but what you can do is in here hi kyle how are you and then when i send it in the lead it texted right so say this was a lead and all the information as you can see on the screen here is uh is shown right there so if i'm on the phone and say i want i respond back so imagine i'm a seller and i say hey how are you or go after yourself right whatever hey how are you send it and it should pop up so there you go it'll say hey how are you and i'm getting these podio notifications to let me know that there's communication happening so this is what i mean you do everything inside of podio so say i were to call this number it automatically goes to podio it's calling yeah hey right maybe a little reverb blah blah blah you're talking to the seller you hang up um non-important gibberish is what i made finalize the call call answered because i answered it and then when you go back into your lead you'll see that there's an outgoing call to john doe for six seconds in the call nuts call notes non-important gibberish and then if you want to go to the recording you can actually click on this this link and it'll take you to a recording of the phone call so you can see all the text all the calls all this stuff happening in the sidebar here and this keeps with callrail and all that you have to go back and forth between apps and all this and uh it's it's pretty tough so if you smartphone and podio together you can integrate it like this and really make podio do some cool stuff so that is what we're going to be making so if that's something you're interested interested in stick with these videos you know so i want to let you know what you're going to need to be able to make something like this so it's not completely free right if you want a free system you can still create this podio but you're just not going to get certain automations that are going to save you time or that text and call feature for sure so what you're going to need is to start with you're going to need a podio account and you're going to need to get the premium version which is 24 bucks a month and what that really gives you is access to this here so globey flow when you're logged into podio and you go to log in here it'll automatically log you in and connect the two so global flow is the back end of like podio for the automations and then here's where i put all that code and all that stuff that in the automation we're gonna do that in the fifth video we're gonna i'm gonna rebuild some of this stuff so you're going to have the automation to create a uh when it creates when your contacts app creates the new lead it's going to automatically do that we're going to show you how i'm going to show i'm going to show you how to do that and i mean these automations if you talk to developers to give you to set you up a podio and give you to automations i mean you're talking a lot of money just to get drip campaigns put into my podio i was quoted 800 bucks just for that alone right then you've got other companies where they charge you like 200 bucks a month 300 bucks per month to have some of this stuff but you're going to create it yourself and it's just going to take one time and then you're going to save yourself a whole ton of money doing it this way so at the end of these that so the text and the call feature that portion of this i can't give away for free so i am going to be charging for that i'm going to be charging 197 bucks but if you can build in video 5 if you can build that automation then all you're gonna have to do i'm gonna give you the screenshots you just rebuild it and you're gonna have that texting and call logging in there and all you gotta do is pay that 197 one time right it's a pretty sweet deal if you want that part cool if not that is also cool you're still going to have the the for that automation i showed you where the contacts creates the seller lead you're still going to have everything connected to smartphone another cool thing i want to show you with smartphone if you just have smartphone connected so i just created john doe right john doe you just search like that so your your smartphone is connected to your podio and you don't have to go back and hunt for your leads you can just type the name or the phone number or whatever and you can text from this so even if you're using smartphone outside of your podio if you want to do it that way it's still going to be a really sweet setup all right so that's mostly podio so you're gonna need to get a podio premium account 24 bucks and i know i'm kind of like bouncing around here right so bear with me podio is going to be 24 bucks now let's talk about smartphone and the different options you get with smartphone so you can either get the normal version which is fifty dollars a month or five hundred dollars per year and i i personally i paid up for the year i got the one thousand dollar version and you save 20 percent that's because i have one team member and i wanted the added benefits if you're just starting out if you're a one-person show i would recommend just doing the 500 a year version or 50 a month if you don't have the 500 or you don't want to spend that all at once and then if you need to upgrade in the future you can always do that but make sure you use that link below because for your phone numbers instead of paying five bucks per phone number per month you get three bucks but like i said this is an intro video in video number four we're actually gonna walk through that more specifically getting smartphone getting it set up to make sure everything is integrated i don't want to miss anything so we're going to be doing a lot to get you this sweet podio and i don't want to miss anything i want you to be able to build this step by step so that's what we're going to do so just to reiterate 24 podio setup then between 50 and 100 bucks a month for smartphone you're looking at and then you gotta with the texting and the phone calls with the minutes that you you pay you're looking at probably between 100 to 150 bucks per month for this podio setup and smartphone right i think there's other people out there that give you um a podio setup just podio that charge 200 300 a month so i'm not sure exactly which combination of stuff you plan to get so it's really gonna depend just make sure you do the math make sure you have that in your budget um for this kind of setup if you're like brand brand new there is a free version of podio you don't get any automations anything like that but i believe you get to input 500 items into podio and that'll help you store some of your leads don't store your leads in excel handwrite them anything like that
