[Music] during this short how-to video on how to save single images and batches of images in genesis image capture software you'll be shown how to one save a single image to save batches of images after you have captured or edited a single image such as a dna agarose gel or a visible protein gel you can save the image by selecting the save icon from the pop-up save dialog box browse the file save and location and easily edit the file name before saving all images will be saved in the sdg file format which is a singing data file which contains lots of useful diagnostic information particularly important if you have any support questions to save batches of images at the same time which are particularly useful for multiplex images if you've captured a series of images or if you've captured several images in one session then select the save icon a pop-up will appear use the drop-down menus to select from which image to save from to which image to save to check the box to save all images in the selected range or to include sub-images some images are images that make up a multiplex or series capture in the case of a multiplex image the sub image is a single channel image and with the series each image captured as part of the series is a sub image then press ok select an image from the list to see a preview and select the browse button to choose where to save your images to save time when saving images check the box to remember the save path you can easily edit the file name of any image selected and if you change the file name of an image that has sub images associated to it genesis will also automatically change the file name for the sub images too press save selected button and a data report popup window will now appear which can be exported as a dot text for reference only you can also from the capture or edit screen check the multi-select mode check box and then select the images you wish to save from the image pool from the pop-up window the list of images that you have selected will appear check the box to save all images in the selected range or to include sub-images then press ok select an image from the list to see a preview insert the browse button to choose where to save your images the same time when saving images check the box to remember the save path press save selected button and the data report pop-up window will now appear which can be exported as dot text for reference only you can easily edit the file name for any image selected and if you change the file name of an image that has sub images associated to it genesis will also automatically change the file name for the sub-images too press save selected and a data report pop-up window will now appear which can be exported as a dot text for reference only
