[Music] what is up guys we are here starting another vlog another day it is currently one o'clock on Thursday afternoon and I am so low in the RAM with all my camping gear getting ready to head to king of the hammers king of the hammers if you don't know is a huge off-road race but what's different about king of the hammers is that it combines rock racing rock crawling with free running or Baja racing so this race is very different and you get a lot of variety you can spectate out in the desert at the high speed stuff or you can spectate in various rock sections that to have roped off for your safety for your safety I've noticed a fan from probably if I had to guess about eight years maybe ten I don't even know how long it's been going I've been going for a very long time I'm meeting up with some buddies some desert buddies Melissa unfortunately did not want to take the day off because the race is on Friday she didn't want to take it off so left the trailer for her set up that is something that can be a challenge when you live in the trailer and you know you have different things going on that could be trouble I guess problems I guess so yeah so I'll try to bring you guys along as much as I can it should be a good time and I'm gonna grab some lunch and go meet up with my buddies and then we're gonna we're gonna roll out look at this guy because this guy excuse me sir sir is this for the parties at night sure bud this that's sure this my party's at I believe this is where the party begins this is where the party begins [Music] technically we left around 3:00 and it's 7:00 and then we're driving slow because people are telling it's all good I'm not complaining like I I cruise all day long I think peeing and our beer you you get used to just driving slow now that I'm just in the truck I just I feel weird I just I still drive slow but anyways we're gonna get to camp in dark you know bump up we're gonna get to camp in the dark so I will see you guys in the morning glory last night was rough ah that's pretty cold last night how do you guys like my RV this is my RV that's pretty nice RV um it was pretty cold and today is race day today is Friday king of the hammers look at this view so this is one of the things that we have to deal with um living full-time Melissa Melissa couldn't make this trip so I chose to go in a tent so she came out the trailer obviously hmm should probably get up and get going I'm gonna make some coffee and start the day so we gonna make some coffee before the state can start get all of our coffee making gear it sucks roughing it you know gotta like boil coffee with stove this is crazy I'm kidding we actually backpack a lot and do a lot of this fun stuff so it's pretty this is a pretty normal this feels weird not having the trailer here [Music] [Music] so coffee is making gotta fire up the truck let it warm up basically we camp when we're here at Koh we camp a bit further away from hammer town so I'm sure we'll go to hammer town I'll show you guys what that's all about it's it's chaos basically this lake bed out here fills up with a complete huge town I want to say like like we're talking like 20,000 people or something come out for this race or more I don't know I'll try to get the numbers on that and this lake bed turns into town they have like they have food like food places they have parts store or you can buy parts they have multiple Jumbotrons I believe they have a band vendors everywhere that's a huge spectacle to see and if you've never been it's really really cool so we'll show you some that but since we can't further away basically what we do is we spectate out here out in the open desert where it's it's less crowded less dusty less busy we do that for a few hours and then normally maybe around lunchtime or something we'll go in a hammer town check that out so that way we're doing some off-roading but we're also spectating so it makes for a really good day all right so we got to our first spectating location locale thanks to this guy here and it's excellent mapping skills we are at where we are in mile marker 19 something like that we're on the desert we're gonna Park down here hike up and see what we can see hopefully a race trucks are these people just well everybody's like why don't we just drive up the hill well there's a lot of reasons for that but exercise is fun right right I well that's why I said there's a lot of reasons one of them is that you can't make it up a hill in their defense though is pretty steep it's pretty steep probably can't see it but over here there's a helicopter in the background chasing the trucks I think we missed truck one right and two or just one so I think we missed the first truck here comes what we believe is a second truck [Applause] [Music] the spot normally is really sweet a canyon over here with a rock section but this year for some reason there's a media or safety guide up there not letting us - so we're kind of stuck here but it's cool section it's what do you call it whiny from chicane some s turns so rad we're right here there's no one around helicopters come to the canyon close the tight pack with seven right now man that breeze from the helicopter very nice what's up buddy Michael table what is the plan now play now is we're gonna go south and then East it's out of the I'll find some more stuff maybe a sand dune ass type area we're gonna go this direction are we gonna go like towards the dunes like through the bessemer like that where we're going Jesse we don't need those okay apparently we're going back to the future few moments later [Music] we got a friend right there [Music] hey just chillin he's getting warm [Music] I think it's pretty cool I mean a lot of people here but it's the courses are pretty radical here so far today has been a great day now the plan is to go through hammer town I think we're actually gonna skip the Avengers row this year it's never it's not - what's going on in the vendor area to be honest that's okay you guys don't need to go there okay what we go that's ten camera yeah my best friend my subscribers are nicer than my actual like real life friends who's always just wants to be on film huh Bruce yeah normally we go into hammer town but this year we decided we're gonna skip it I think because it's just always so busy so sorry guys you don't get to see that I'll try to film a bit when we're just driving through all the camps kinda give you an idea how crazy it is [Music] [Music] so we were headed back to camp kind of ending our day and we came across this really cool dune section so whole film some of the guys having a good time oh I had this great idea I was like Bruce if you just drive up and down you'll make a ramp and then you can jump it and he's like what are you talking about and then as he does it more and more he's kind of just buying into to what I said all right back to camp we'll do it so it's a great day the Sun is about to set probably about an hour here Koh was a great success it it's getting harder and harder to spectate which is okay you know they're keeping it safe we totally get it we have a great time we go to a couple of little locations and then and then normally go to hammer town we actually didn't go in hammer town sorry guys so yeah catch you guys later [Music]
