y'all dive into the back end and and see what it's all about so you know first things first what i like to do is i go to the texting channel and i go to the most recent announcement post and so here we have a lot of pinned messages because last night you know during texting tuesday we're making some changes but i'd like to go to the pinned announcements and then i'll start unpinning the ones from before and again we have a lot of um pendulum announcements but cool and the the big thing is i want to get to this one where it has all the live campaigns and so what i'm going to do is i'm going to take um this post i'm going to click view message and it's taking a minute um great there we go um and this is these are like the live campaigns and so i think glenview because we were about to jump into texting tuesday didn't include like you know the one page for the texting stuff because we were going to talk about it but you want to copy this information and then go to slackbot this is just for the posting and you can paste here and then what i like to do is i i keep a template here and this is my favorite text template because i think it's really clear about which of the campaigns are left and what the status is and so i'm going to take this template and copy it and then where it says all these priorities i'm going to actually sort of take the language from each of these um and then make sure i do things like that yeah so um and i want to keep the priority order so like i think the priority order is the priority order for a reason and um again like we um choose a priority order based on how many texts there are how many um you know folks are um we're trying to reach etc so so i'm going to copy and paste all this and i want to keep the priority number because i think it's really helpful for texters to know where things are at so this one i have to add a priority number six and then going back here and for the most part you should not um actually add so sometimes there'll be other campaigns that are not in these priority campaigns that you know show up on this left-hand side right like people's lobby education institute or progressive leadership alliance of nevada or um the new jersey research project or hoosier action so these we should not actually bump in our text announcements because we haven't vetted those campaigns the staff members of those campaigns haven't reached out to let us know where those campaigns are at and so we should always always always only stick to the campaigns that we do on texting tuesday and the volunteer recruitment campaign which i'm going to add as a priority here and so once you sort of have that list down the next thing to do is to actually check on the status of these campaigns which you can now do um given that um you have backend access now and so if you look here you'll actually notice like none of the eight campaigns besides the volunteer recruitment campaigns are active but what that means is actually that we haven't released the replies or we haven't released the unsent initial messages so that people can um make the change and so i'm going to quickly copy this status i think for for each thing so then that way i can update it for each campaign so i'm going to start off with the volunteer recruitment campaign only 306 supplies left that was from the last time so i'm going to click into here and it's 908 right so um i want to basically i think it in the mornings it's great to start off with replies because um people you know respond to us last night past texting hours we want to make sure that we respond to those people so usually what i do is i hit release all unhandled replies and what this does and i change this to like two or three hours but since it's the morning i'll do three hours um and then i hit release and what this does is it releases all the replies that are unhandled and so but the important part too is i have to go to assignment control and um and then toggle this from unsent initial messages to replies and usually you know 50 to 100 replies and so i click save and now when i click go back to campaigns it'll tell me what textures will see at the top so in the assignment target so now i know that if somebody comes in and requests texts their first three replies if they they can request replies now because of assignment control we change that to replies but if they request text three of the first hundred replies that they're going to request are going to be related to this recruitment phone bank and then the next set of replies that they get are going to be the next campaign down that has available replies um so great so um when we released the all unhandled replies it had said um oops i should have done um for one hour but since it's in the morning doesn't matter but it said 229 replies left so um yeah and the volunteer recruitment one it's a bit hard to get a handle on how many initial messages are because we're running a lot of campaigns in there uh but for the other ones you'll see [Music] how to sort of pull that so i'm going to go to the presidential deep canvas and now do the same thing here so i'm going to release all unhandled replies it's going to be a lot because we texted a lot it's about 1872 right so 1872 replies left and then to release the unsent initial messages so that what happens often is people claim a thousand messages but only send you know 5500 and so to do that we have to do that individually so i'm going to go here and release unsent initial messages done done and so now we're getting you know thousands of texts back and so now as you're seeing there's probably around like you know a thousand to 1500 texts per campaign so in total um there's probably six thousand but the way to check that is so if i so because before now that i've released all the unsent initial and all the unhandled replies if i hit refresh this assignment target is going to change and that because it means that text will so now it shows that there's 302 texts left for this there's this this and it'll sort of go down the line but again because we want to respond to people for this campaign asap i'm going to switch the assignment control from initials to replies and you'll see how this changes what the target is right or what somebody sees as a texter here they are a thousand um but let's go back to the deep canvas here um so here it's counting initials because it says unsent initials but if i go to assignment control and change this to replies and change it to a um and then click save what will happen here is now it'll say how many replies are left between the to five different campaigns and what it does is it works down the list if auto assign is on for each campaign it'll work its way down the list and so if you are a text and you come now that's what you see and so for this um there's 1872 replies left and there's about you know for the initials i just sort of make an estimate based on uh what i saw but there's about you know uh 5 000 um initials left oh i'm doing this in the wrong place and this one had 2109 replies left um and then so i'm going to keep on going text for governor belinsky and that's in the student action spoke instance um and here i'm going to release all unhandled replies change it to two hours 796 reply so we got a lot of and there's also some unsent initial messages based on this tag and so i'm going to also hit release on sent initial messages 654 so we're doing pretty good here but obviously like when i look at that number like the priority should be um the priority should be the replies because um we'll get we'll definitely if there's 700 replies waiting then it's probably not good to start the initials yet so it's 796. oops sorry so unhandled replies we want to change that to 100. and then if i go back here to the campaigns now it'll start showing the unreplied so um these next set of campaigns are going to be a lot easier because there should only be really one or two campaigns so the texting for wisconsin down ballot so this one actually there's eight campaigns um but i'm gonna just uh oh wow we didn't start one of the campaigns so i'm gonna start these campaigns and then um but actually actually let's hold off on that it's like it's probably good that we didn't start this campaign so i'm gonna release the unhandled replies and so that's you know 1887. let's see and then um for all these i'm just going to go down and release unsent messages that's 1 000 unsent messages and 50. so we're still at around 1 000. 616. there's no way with unsend messages to sort of see the sum when you have multiple campaigns so now that's like three thousand four thousand yeah so we probably have around like 5 000 unset messages and i think with these two campaigns that are around let's see this one's 15 000. and this one is another 30 000 so we probably have like 35 000 texts left to send um and then yeah so i'm gonna keep going down the colorado senate race the colorado people's alliance so again release unhandled replies ninety nine reply 2699 we've got a lot of replies today um two thousand six hundred ninety nine replies left um i can delete the word only and then the initials i do by release on send messages 16 19 and then pa absentee ballot push let's see we're working on this campaign um and so i'm gonna release all handle replies 1834 on one campaign and then release unsent messages done oh actually for the wisconsin dam ballot and the colorado sign i forgot to actually change the assignment control so i'm gonna go back here make sure i go to assignment control and change this from replies to 100 click save go to campaigns and now if i refresh here see it's now talking about replies so i'm going to do that for the colorado race as well
