what's up everyone its Ryan here with green tech Network today want to be showing you how to program channels into your bio Fang UV five hours memory this process might be similar for other Baofeng videos this is the only one I have so long with programming the actual frequencies into your memory I'm also going to be showing you how to program along with specific frequencies those frequencies DCs on CTCs settings so to begin you're going to want to make sure you're not in memory mode so memory mode is when you see these little numbers on the right hand side so press this orange button to make sure you're just in the standard turn zebra mode and then make sure you're in channel a you want an t-rex channel B make sure in China a which is the upper one so let's say we want to add on this channel 400 megahertz to our transceivers memory so you're going to press menu and then if you have any specific DCs or ctcf settings you're gonna want to scroll to setting is where the receiving DCs setting is so let's say we want to see this channel at 400 megahertz and also have it save with a dcs 47 receiving and then let's say we want the same dcs for transmitting so we scroll 247 hit menu so now that you have your dcs or CTCs settings you can do either or you want to scroll to option number 27 this is where you'll see it's as a memo - CH c press um many to enter that and then you want to scroll to an open memory channel so anything that has CH in front of it means there's already something in that slot problems you don't want to overwrite it something you have stored so memory channel number Seven's open for me so I just hit menu to confirm so now within my memory if I go to my menu option and scroll to number seven you'll see that it is 400 megahertz which was the channel we wanted and it also applied those DCS settings and it saves those settings only with this specific frequency in your memory so you can see my other channels you'll see that um it's you know switches multiple times between ctcs dcs and all that it would be nice if it would show you which dcs or CTCs frequency or channel whatever you want to call it it's using um but you know the be nice feature but oh well so that's basically how you program your Baofeng you v5r if you have channels you're programming without the dcs or CTC SS you just leave those blank you know you don't have to have them and then just add whatever frequency you want but that's pretty much it that concludes the instructional video on how to program channels to memory feel free to do post or send me a message if you have any questions and thank you for watching
