hey this is brad from pts and i'm in the pts solution center and this is where we go to try out new devices do our reviews and show customers the latest technology you'll see we have a bunch of equipment behind us for rfid and barcoding and you can't see behind the scanner but there's tons of different scanners by all the different manufacturers and our premier partner zebra anyway um today we're going to review the cs6080 or talk about it a little bit with how it works with tracer plus and why we're excited about it but before i do that i just wanted to jump into a little bit of a history lesson and why we're excited about it many moons ago actually in 2000 this company was formed and it was based on the palm os we got excited because we saw a pom3xe embedded in an sbt 1500 by zebra with a nice laser scanner on the front and we saw the opportunity and we created some basic software called tracer at the time that allowed people to quickly scan data into a custom application they actually created the application on the phone this is early early technology and these if you remember we didn't even find a charger for this but they were on a green screen well there were only two devices out one was around two thousand dollars and another was like 500 but again budgets might be tight or someone didn't want to carry around multiple devices and they wanted to take advantage of this little palm 3x8 so we looked at the companion scanner by zebra the cs1504 at the time we said wow this would be great if we could just connect the two and scan directly in and we could do some high volume scanning with a palm 3xc and someone could get in the game for around 150 bucks well we developed a little cable we allowed them to connect and we could scan together well we kind of got away from that over the years and we zebra has so many different options as we have around here but with the look the import issues as of late and people wanting to use tracer plus on multiple devices through our subscriptions we now enable people to use their phones so someone can pick up their phone and scan at barcode but it's a little slower it's more cumbersome because it jumps out to the camera and anyone who's scanned a qr code especially with covid when you go into the restaurant and understand it's a little harder to get that scan in versus using a regular barcode scanner well zebra developed the cs6080 and we're pretty excited about it because it has mfi meaning that we can pick up this scanner and use it directly with a tracer plus app on an ios device and even without mfi we can use it on an android...
