hello and welcome to the introduction to the RF scanner in this video you will become familiar with the buttons and options on the keypad of the RF scanner starting at the top of the keypad you will see a blue button in the centre this is your scan button press this button to scan barcodes you will also use this button to activate the RF scanner display the enter button is the blue button located on the right side of the keypad press this button after entering data into a particular field login to the RF scanner with your agency credentials enter your username and press the enter button next scan your password above into the left of the Scan button there is a small round yellow power button pressing this button gives you the option to hibernate suspend reboot or cancel if you do not select any of the options after a period of inactivity the screen will go black you will need to press the scan button to reactivate the screen depending on the screen you are on you will either return to the RF smart sign-in screen and will login with your credentials or if you are in the middle of a transaction it will return to that screen if you need to change the battery remove the old battery and replace it with the new one once you have replaced the battery press the yellow power button to power on the RF scanner and return to the screen you are on before you switch the battery directly to the right of the Scan button is an arrow button this button allows you to delete and backspace a letter or number you typed an error along the left side of the keypad are the function keys f1 is the inquiry button anytime there is a list of options available for example when you are receiving a delivery press f1 to display the list of options you will know when you have reached the end of the list when a row of stars displays f1 can be your best friend because it displays the available options there is no risk of typing the wrong entry plus it's fast and the list is comprehensive the f3 function button returns you to the RF smart menu however if you press this button twice it will log you off if you need to go back just one screen press the f4 button it's similar to clicking the back key on a computer browser the numbers are on the top half of the keypad you can use the number keys to enter quantities or to select options on the RF scanner when a list is displayed the alphabet is on the bottom half of the keypad this is used during login password entry entering item codes or adding notes midway on the left side is the orange function button once pressed it will turn on the directional arrows on the 2...
