hi my name is Samantha from duplicating systems today I'll be showing you how to scan to a folder using a PC with a canon printer the first thing you'll need to do is go to the folder icon at the bottom of your desktop now I'll be saving this folder onto my desktop but you can save it anywhere you would like click on new folder and name the folder whatever you prefer now click on properties go to sharing click share press share again done advanced sharing now click share this folder and click permissions click Add now here you can type in the name of the user and to find the name of the user you can go to the windows button at the bottom of your desktop click the person icon click change account settings and this should be the name of your user now click check names just to make sure this is the right username click OK now please make sure to remove everyone from this list and now click allow for full control apply ok apply ok and close now open up a new web browser and in the URL type in your printers IP address and if you don't know your printers IP address please click the grey card at the top right hand corner so this is my printers IP address and type in your ID and password if you don't know this please ask your administrator now go to address book click address list oh one register new destination and please change this email to file click set and for the name type in your folder name and for the host name you can find it by going to the folder button one more time clicking on your folder going on properties sharing and it should be this part right here I click on settings for your forwards with folder path you can type in your folder name once again and then to find your username you can find it by again going to the windows button at the bottom of your desktop clicking the person icon change the account settings and it should be listed right here and then please type in your password that you used to log into your computer click ok ok and now I will be showing you how to scan a document using the Canon printer now place the document you would like to scan into your scanner scan and send address book and I click the folder that you made click OK and now you're able to scan you should see the folder pop up in the folder that you made on your Mac if you have any questions comments or concerns please visit us at duplicating systems comm or please call us thank you
