[Music] hello I am back again with another image transfer tutorial this time using acetone yes it is just regular nail polish remover but the 100% acetone kind that you need for this you will also need a container to put it in you will need a paint brush you will need a magazine image and you will need a pencil to do this transfer so what you want to do is find the image you want to transfer and put it in your paper you will want to tape your image down securely but don't put tape on any areas that you're planning on transferring because you need the acetone to be able to soak through the paper I also like to fold up the edges just to help keep the acetone where I want it and not have it run out the sides now next you want to put something under your paper because the acetone is going to soak through into the paper and this could damage a table surface if you're working on wood or if you're working in a sketchbook this could get your other papers wet alright then dip your brush into the acetone and apply some to the paper and you'll see how it begins to show the image from the underneath side the image that you're transferring through the paper now just applying the acetone is not enough you actually have to apply a lot of pressure using a dull pencil you're going to need to burnish or rub very hard over the entire area that you're transferring now what I find works best and you'll see this in this example is to do cross hatching so look how I am crossing my lines in various directions this helps me cover all of the area and you'll see when I lift up the paper the comparison between the lip on the left in the lip aunt in the middle okay because the one in the middle I did with cross-hatching the one on the left I just did lines in one direction so check this out so you can see it almost looks like it was drawn like you can see the individual lines so you want to keep that in mind when you're doing this kind of transfer okay so now I'm going to actually repeat this again I'm gonna go over it again because I want to make sure that I have a better transfer than what you just saw so by just you know replacing my tape in the same place it was before I am able to just continue on and continue to make more marks to transfer these lips and now when I'm finished I'll just take off that magazine paper and you can see that the transfer is now finished now what's really cool about this is that I could layer on other images with this same technique and that's what I'm going to do I'm...
