[Music] what's going on guys hc' blade midnight man welcome back to the channel for another video this is the first video of the new year of this channel so happy 2020 it's a new decade can you really believe it I've had to come to terms with it because that's just reality anyways guys I hope you're doing well and I wanted to get this new year started off right with a really helpful video for you guys so I'm gonna be showing you how you can record ps4 gameplay and then move those clips over to your mobile device your phone your Android iPhone whatever you might have so you can edit those clips for yourself and it post it to YouTube this is really helpful especially if you took a base camp clip maybe using your phone but you don't want to go through the hassle trying to move it to the console to try to edit on that share factory application unfortunately when it comes to share factory when you try to import clips from your phone they're usually in a lot higher quality than share factory can handle and it's just like nope we're not gonna take these files in and you can just go somewhere else so how about we just say the chef factory will get you homie let's just take the gameplay recordings that we'd get off the ps4 and put them directly to our phone no computer I know computers required for this method some of you guys had have been around my channel for a while might remember I did a tutorial about a year and a half or two ago showing you how you can get those clips to your phone for free completely but it was a bit of a tedious and long method it required you to upload the ps4 clip on your PlayStation to YouTube unlisted and then going to your phone and going to a site where you can download that clip based off of the unlisted URL and you can only do one at the time it was a slow process and I was like you know there's got to be a better way to do this and there is so the folks out at YC whoop these guys sent me an iPhone flash drive so one end has the iPhone connecting port so I can send files to and from my iPhone and the other side of the flash drive is just the regular USB 3.0 port which if you have an edge device can double as well as utilize the adapter that YC wolf included in the box so that you can access the files on your Android device so all you need to get this to work is the PlayStation a mobile phone and this flash drive which you can pick up on Amazon for literally 20 bucks and it has 128 gigabytes of storage besides just being able to transfer your ps4 clips to your phone and a higher quality without a computer you can also backup your phone and all your photos and music and documents this is a lot more than just what I'm explaining so it's pretty worth it and I'll show you guys a bit more in detail to how all this works before you start recording gameplay on your ps4 make sure you have your settings set the way you want them to be so to do that all you have to do is go to your ps4 controller and press the share button once this side menu on the left-hand side of the screen will pop up scroll down to sharing and broadcast settings and within there you can set the length of your video clip all the way up to 60 minutes and something else that I think is helpful to look at is the audio sharing settings so if you have a USB microphone you can plug that into the USB slot on your ps4 and you can have that set to record audio commentary if your gameplay settings are all good to go on your ps4 one other thing you can do is use your phone as the face cam especially if you're going to be editing on this same device you can pick up a tripod as well as a foam mount for it so that way you can record stable face cam footage once you're all good with that all you have to do to start recording gameplay off the ps4 is double tap the share button and it will record up to the set amount of time that you have in your settings now let's say that you are done recording or your clip is shorter than you thought it'd be and you're ready to stop recording all you have to do is go back to your ps4 controller and double tap that share button again and your recording will stop now that you finish recording the gameplay using the built-in ps4 recorder you want to move those clips over to your phone now now if you're one of those people who have a very small amount of files or rarely ever have a reason to be moving gameplay clips to your phone then maybe that other method that I mentioned earlier with uploading the video to youtube unlisted and then downloading it will be best for you I'll leave a link description below to that video if you would like to watch it but for those of you who just have no computer and are trying to edit without using Sheriff and you're moving a bunch of files back and forth through the phone then I highly recommend getting this mobile phone USB flash drive if you do own this flash drive or a flash drive similar to it as there's multiple companies out there that have created flash drive just like this such as SanDisk which is a big one all you have to do is plug that into the PlayStation 4 then you want to navigate over to your capture gallery application once you're in there you want to find the files that you just recorded so if it's in for tonight you can go to your fortnight library from here select the options button then scroll up to copy to USB storage device and then select the clips that you would like to move over to the flash drive another screen will pop up showing the file path directory of where those screenshots or video clips will be going on this flash drive after that just select ok and your files will be moved over to the flash drive once the files have successfully been transferred to the drive you can remove it from the PlayStation 4 then you can grab your mobile device and then make sure that the wide disc application is installed on iOS from the App Store if you have an Android device you can still plug in this flash drive by using the type C adapter and then you're going to want to make sure that the OTG connection is turned on once you have the wide disk app installed go ahead and plug in the iPhone flash drive into your phone once you've done that the app should automatically load up if not go ahead and launch it from here you want to navigate to the file explorer tab you'll see at the top that you're in the internal section and you want to move over to the USB section and this part gets a little tricky because I hate how the folders are set up here where you can't see the names so you kind of have to play a little guessing game and you'll be able to tell at the top and that little white bar what the directory of your folder structure is so once you find the ps4 folder it'll then be easier to find the share folder then the video clips folder and then you'll see all the video clips that you're trying to move over to your phone from the folder that you have the gameplay files that you're trying to move you want to click that three-dot I con at the top and then you want to select the select option and then select all of the clips that you're trying to move over to your phone from there you want to press that copy icon I know it's kind of hard to see well I see well if you guys got to fix this one because it's just you know we want to be able to see our Kahn's a little better here but it's that far left icon then you want to move over to the internal section of the application which has the files on your phone from here find the mobile videos folder and then go to the top right hand side again press on that three dot I con and then select paste to this path so then you have your gameplay Clips downloaded to your phone and they'll still be on the USB device because we just copied them from one place and input them to another in my case I had about 16 17 minutes worth of gameplay footage and it took about two minutes of transfer the files over to my phone now if I leave the app and go over to my Photos app I can see that the videos successfully downloaded onto my device now I can load up an editing software or whatever I like there's quite a few decent mobile video editors out there if you're not sure if which ones download I'll leave a few in the description below but now that I have the gameplay on my phone I can easily open up my editing software in my case I'm using iMovie and I can just transfer the file easily put my FaceCam file in there no problem at all and I can edit from here export it and then upload to YouTube that's gonna do it for the video guys I hope you enjoyed it thank you so much for staying to the end and watch and make sure you hit it with the big thumbs up subscribe to the channel if you're new around here with those notifications on and a big big things for 50,000 subscribers we just hit it a few days ago I really truly appreciate it I want to do a giveaway for you guys it'll come up within the next month here I'm gonna do a giveaway I want to do like a fortnight's Krim livestream style giveaway and I'll explain everything in a video before that but yeah man I'm just so grateful I feel like this year 2020 is gonna be a big one for my life and the projection of where it could go and who knows where where YouTube will end up within that and those dreams so I appreciate every single one of you that have subscribed to the channel shared the videos liked it up those things cost nothing and it helps me out a ton so I appreciate it fully thank you I hope you guys have a wonderful rest of your day you guys take it easy peace out
