[Music] the apt companion mobile app can send alerts to your phone for upcoming activities so that you can plan for what is next in your day act companion displays your upcoming and most recent activities in a feed designed around social interaction this allows you to see what's happened based on history items that you or others have created let's take a look at activities and notifications enact companion to do this you can tap the calendar icon in the lower left corner or you can always reach activities by using the Menu button in the upper left now companion is going to show me my activities and it displays any upcoming activities with an alert at the top let's look at some details of an upcoming activity by tapping it let's use this call for Springer flu bin' I can already see the contact with whom this activity is scheduled Bjorn olufsen I can also see some important fields like the regarding and location if it's there to view any more details let's tap the details button this gives me the date and the time of the activity and any attachments that might be needed to make any edits all I have to do is tap the edit button in the lower right corner and you might see a request like this that's asking you if you want to allow ash companion to access your calendar this is a great way to integrate act companion with the native calendar on your phone so I'm going to click allow on the Edit activity screen I can change the subject the activity type the date and time the location and I can even add or remove contacts from the list for associating this activity at the top there's a toggle switch that allows me to add this activity to my phone calendar this is useful if you use your phone's calendar to help manage your day once you've made all your changes don't forget to tap save in the upper right corner so what if I met up with one of my contacts while I was out on a business trip or maybe even they called me while I was out of the office and they asked me to send them the latest brochure for our company's products well I don't want to forget to do this and I can't really do it right now so what I want to do is create a quick to do activity from within act companion to do this I'm going to go back to my activities screen and then in the lower right corner I'm going to tap the plus button here to add a new activity now I can add details to this activity so for subject I'll just title it send brochure or activity type this is going to be a to-do item I need to decide when this is going to happen so let's say it's a Friday and I can't do it today so I want to make sure I do it on Monday morning and I'll schedule this to happen at about 10:00 a.m. let's say 10:30 to this since it's a to-do item but I do need to associate this with the contact who made the request so I'm gonna perform a simple search here the contacts name is Ward Cleaver so I'm just going to type in Ward and there use when I tap his name it adds him to this list and now I can tap the Save button in the upper right corner and now this to do activity has been created if I launch my desktop version of Act and I go to my task list I should now see this new activity send brochure for Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. it's a to-do item and is scheduled with Ward Cleaver so now on Monday I won't forget to send him the brochure [Music] [Music]
