[Music] good morning guys so today is the day I am about to head to my sister Locke establishment with Rosalie and it is about 5:50 2:00 in the morning about to head to chick-fil-a really quickly to grab something to eat and I got a few essentials so I am fully prepared for the day first thing for those of you who don't know me I'm always cold so I always bring something for the just in case I don't know if it's gonna be cold in the building so brought me a little scarf I have a sneaking it's pink but you can't see it it oh maybe like my video but it looks like a cute of pink as I'm looking at what do you I also have my charger I have a book to read we'll see if actually read any of it but I bought this book years ago and it's called hair story untangling the roots of black hair in America I thought that was fitting I've started it but I never finished it and I can't say that I'm gonna finish it over the next two days but I figured it was a good read to bring with me on this journey so just a quick last hurrah for my loose natural hair I guess this is my last fully loose natural hair style and it's been fun it's been a great run being a loose natural and now I'm ready to move on to the next so I will keep you I you guys post it throughout the day I don't know if I'm gonna actually video during the establishment probably come to you again just after the day is over so that's it for now and I'll see you guys a little bit later bye hi guys so I'm back and it's been a really long day so I'm gonna make this a really short video but um I'm not quite finished I have another four hours to go I was there today for 13 hours and 45 minutes so we almost got done but not quite there I had a really good time it didn't seem like it took that long so I'm just really happy at where I am the progress right now you can't see it that well but that's okay um I'm definitely almost fully sister locked but just wanted to come back and say hey and let you know what was going on um looking forward to finishing up tomorrow and I'll come back to you guys then and yeah that's it for now check back tomorrow bye hi guys so I'm about six days late on this video because I finished my sister Locke establishment on Sunday September 1st and today is Saturday September 7th but I'm here now and just wanted to let you know how I felt about my sister locs right now I just have it parted down the middle and I have a little mini bun you can't see it anyway there's a bun back there and this is the first time I've actually pulled the back like this I've been wearing my bang out to the side and I'll post some pictures and video of that but I am so happy with my decision to get sister locks I will say my greatest fear was like a waste energy because what my greatest fear was was that was going to be extremely scalping and it's not and I'm so excited and I'm glad I didn't wait until after homecoming because I can just go and enjoy my sister likes as they are I remember getting ready for work this week and getting dressed got ready and I had like 20 minutes to spare because there was literally nothing to do with my hair I did put them in bantu knots that a couple in the front and have had that as a base so they were kind of crinkly and waiting but yeah I'm so happy with my decision and I actually haven't even opened my starter kit yet but I'm gonna do it right now I am going to wash my hair for the first time tomorrow and so I'm interested to see what it's going to be looking like after I wash it so let's get in here so I have and if you have sister locs you know what's in the box but I have my sister lot starter shampoo I have a little tip card to explain how to wash my hair properly I have my little rubber band so I can braid and band my hair oh these are the tips what is this let's see okay these are other products and I have a little birth certificate that I can send in and get my birth certificate okay so on this card it tells you what you need to do to get your free birth certificate for your sister locks I think is so adorable so my sister like birthday is Sunday September 1st that was when my establishment was complete and so it gives options and I'm definitely going to take advantage of all of this I can of course sign me up as a new member of the sister-like family gonna give my birth certificate you can pay a little extra to get a welcome kit with some goodies in there and I think I'm actually gonna do that and I'm definitely gonna join the sister lot information network so I'm gonna send my email so they can do that but yeah I'm really excited I'm gonna I've been interested in this shampoo because there have been different reviews about it basically some people say they don't like the smell and I asked on one of the Facebook groups like what exactly does it smell like some people said they hate the smell some people said there is no smell so let me see for myself let's see yeah it's there's like no smell so I'm totally fine with using this and gonna wash my hair tomorrow and I'll come back and shoot another segment of the video so you may have noticed as I've been putting these videos together that they don't look all the same and probably not cohesive because I've been playing with these video apps picture apps and I'm a filter user I like really like filters and so some of the filters I've used are different and I don't really like how they look on my computer which is why I've been using these apps but the apps only give me three minutes to shoot a video so that's why I'm kind of merging them together and I actually like this one right here there there's another app that I use and it like puts makeup on you and I thought was kind of cute but I noticed like sometimes if I like do this then if I didn't have on lipstick it'll show and then it'll again show that I looks like I do have on lipstick so I like the look of it but it's too much with that one to make sure I didn't accidentally put my hand in the wrong place or move in the wrong place - not my fake makeup off but I think I like this one right here got the right skin tone like my actual skin tone and all that good stuff but yeah so um I will be back tomorrow and show you what my hair looks like after I cleanse it with the sister LOC shampoo hi guys so I'm back and I watched my hair today so I'm a bad youtuber I didn't come back like after I wash but I'm at now so it was really easy breezy I mean if you're just talking about timewise watched a as a loose natural from start to finish took me up solid for hours so pre-cooling cleansing oh and that fur actually claim thing goes a little deeper it's not just cleansing it's clarifying then a moisturizing shampoo then conditioning and I would usually alternate sometimes I would do both probably overdid it but alternate between steam therapy and deep conditioning and then rinsing it out putting in my leaving conditioner heat protectant blowout twist start to finish that was solid like I said for hours yesterday it took me 15 minutes that does not include drying time though but there's nothing to do because I just let it air dry um I did use the diffuser for maybe maybe 15 minutes or so but after that I was like okay it'll be dry by the time I wake up in the morning so I just let it air dry and I didn't know what my hair was gonna look like today and it's like super or curly and I like it so yeah the braiding and banding I just braid it and banded it in the sections that it was established in and I put in my starter well wet my hair kind of makes sure it was nice in soaking wet then put the starter shampoo in and washed it in the direction of the growth like instructed and rinsed it out really well and left the rubber bands in until it dry and took it out this morning and this is my little style that I got so that's pretty much it um the shampoo I guess I was expecting it not to lather but it did it lands it for me my hair is good and clean and I'll probably wash it again not this coming weekend but the following weekend the day before margarita so I think that's it for now I think I'm done with this part of the video and I'll just do a
