hi there chase from high level here and in this how-to we're going to talk about how to build a quick and easy welcome text campaign that's an auto reply for people who text into a twilio number for the very first time this idea is pretty cool it kind of plays off the idea of community maybe you've seen this popular new app that celebrities use i think it's kind of hard to get into i don't know if they've opened it up or not but you can basically build the same thing on high levels so let's check it out so the idea is i wanted to be able to tell people hey just text me and here's my number and the first time they text i want to automate a reply back saying you know whatever i want so let's let's first create a campaign so i'm going to hop over to campaigns over here and i'm going to create one called sms auto reply and let's just add a text message in here and we'll say like hey thanks for hitting me up what's your name save and let's put a little delay on this so we'll do like point two of a minute or something just so it doesn't fire immediately but you can you know for my test i'll leave it at zero but you could mess with that obviously we'll take it out of draft so our campaign is sms auto reply now let's go over to triggers and add a trigger and this one will be sms um i'll just name it the same thing to keep it easy okay and now here's where the magic happens on the left hand side we're just going to choose customer replied we're going to add a filter for the reply channel it is sms we're going to add another filter for in phone number so we can specify which phone number we're talking about here so let's do i'll do this one i'll just do this first one here all right and now um the one thing that i forgot to do that's important is in your campaign in your campaign configuration just make sure that allow multiple is turned off otherwise this will fire every time somebody texts this number and every time they reply so we're just going to do allow multiple no and and then you're good to go so we'll come back to our trigger here so i'm saying all right anybody anytime someone texts this specific number i'm going to feed them into that campaign so we're going to add to campaign and that is our sms auto reply hit save take it out of draft and i'm going to open up my phone and i'm going to shoot a text to that number so let's do a new message to 215 999 6327 okay and i'm going to say hey sent okay so that should fire if we head over to conversations we can see you can see i tested this before um so here's my hey and then boom it just shot back hey thanks for hitting me up what's your name and now i have that here on my phone so just a cool way to set up an intro text so that people that hit you up get a reply back ask them what their name is so then when they reply with their name you can start filling in their profile here on the right hand side and now you're running your own sort of community app
