hello this is Sonia fried L from brain cell and today we'll be going over the differences between pandadoc and DocuSign both of the applications are used to collect signatures or electronic signatures big differ in that pandadoc also serves as a workflow management tool a proposal generation tool and also has some small cpq or price configuration features DocuSign serves as an e-signature solution with some workflow management but mostly it's just an e-signature solution some of the detailed differences here which will show in a demonstration in just a moment both of these each signature applications are legally binding with pandadoc you get that proposal generation functionality which includes being able to change the look and feel of a proposal or a document through an HTML styled editor that will show you DocuSign is really just that e signature solution application you need to make your proposals and documents in a different system or in word save them to a file location then upload them to DocuSign to be sent so there's no HTML style editor in DocuSign and with DocuSign there are some fees for some of the crm integrations so let's jump in and show one of the more well-known solutions first DocuSign and then we'll show you hand it off so here I am in DocuSign and right here I can upload a document from my desktop once I prepared my proposal in Word I can simply upload it here or I can use a template as well I can also upload something from a file location in the cloud if I use the template it will bring you to my template location where I can search I'll bring up an NDA to use ad selected I can announce names it will populate an email message go into the actual NDA and you can see here I cannot edit the contents here this is just a word document basically that's been uploaded as a template any changes that I need to make to this document I would need to do in Word and then re-upload as part of the templating the tags for these fields have been configured for both myself and Chelsea and once I send this then the two recipients will be able to login or not even login but come right to the screen press sign type in their full name title and select the date and we'll go through that actually we're gonna send it an I will sign mine so we can see what that looks like so I press Continue start you I will get an email copy of the fully executed agreement when both parties have signed I can download that agreement to PDF which you can see here as a combined PDF and there is my executed document by just myself soon Chelsea will sign as well so that's a quick review of how to use DocuSign again more of a proposal generation system that still has really strong e-signature capabilities so this is a great dashboard it will show different documents and their statuses you dollar amounts that are in it because again this has some pricing functionality shows right here on a dashboard for me which is just fantastic so I'd like to start a new document up here on the right very similar to what DocuSign does here you can see that they're templates I can go here to upload my own like you cut a DocuSign I can also upload from a virtual location just just like I can in DocuSign really neat though these are public templates that pandadoc provides to their customers we've had some pretty basic templates here we've got this NDA agreement to be fair let's just select the same same thing here I can just go in and she'll season again you start editing and the tags here a bit different now we're seeing some tokens anything in yellow here now this is set up very differently because this is merged with our CRM system the same is true for DocuSign so with let's say use salesforce.com or Sugar CRM as examples or Microsoft both integrate natively and you're able to port in fields from your CRM into the documents you've so much time now what you'll see here is different now this might um you might want to lock this down if you're a lawyer you may want to walk down some of these content blocks so that people cannot touch them or modify them that's allowed and panda it's very useful however if you're making lengthy proposals like we would in that and the technology industry here we really like our sales executives to have the flexibility to create maybe not an NDA with fun language but a proposal with with really fun and interesting language some images from the sales process things that we've discovered things that will really help our customers understand what we're going to be providing to them and a value that's going to be a fight that's a huge difference in panda now what you're seeing here signature blocks very similar to what we just went through in DocuSign and these are blocks that we can modify here but all I have to do is press send it's gonna be a little different than that let's skip through that continued NDA agreement and here's my message I can also put in a save message like I couldn't DocuSign I can send that document [Music] draw type upload my signature I've adopted this digital one in both applications you can create a signature with the tip of your finger if you're on a smartphone or tablet you can also from your smartphone tablet laptop adopt a signature like you're seeing here like me and just accept in sign I can put in the date and finalize that document it will show as partially signed now something that's very different as well with this application is I can see some really interesting document analytics this is fantastic for sales once you send this to your customer you're gonna be able to go in look at the analytics tab see how long your prospector the signer has been looking at this document page-by-page really fantastic information to have pandadoc is a fantastic tool for creating proposals not just getting ecig matures here's an example of a great proposal template that we have here at brain stall but then the yellow tags merging data from CRM great table of contents which typed with hyperlinks down to each section here anything can be changed if the block is not locked down by the admin go in here and actually create your own language maybe take images out where needed make changes now this is a very wonderful and different thing about Handa dock is that it has pricing table functionality or a very light cpq configure price quote functionality here you can see I've got a pricing block with the name of an item a price and a quantity very easy for a sales person to go in here put in a quantity see the subtotal and even I want to get crazy make this optional so as the the customer goes through this document electronically they can either check or uncheck this box to select this item I can also go into the settings and add a discount a total discount to the pricing block or just a line-item discount which I can go right in here and apply a 20% discount again HTML style editor very easy to use and great
