it's a lot of chicken how many people i think are eating watch that's a stupid question all right it's freezing today so i decided to warn the cactus of my heart with a boatload of these uh nashville hot chicken bites from kfc they just made a comeback and last time they were around a few years ago i remember a lot of people asking me to do a video with these things so fingers crossed those subscribers are still around because today's the day now these things are um they're essentially just pieces of chicken they're bigger than popcorn chicken bigger than chicken nuggets but smaller than the regular strips of chicken you get from kfc and they're coated in nashville hot sauce which is what's going to make this difficult for me i did feel like watering out and getting the barbecue sauce but i thought i'd make it entertaining so i'll throw up a calorie account screen we'll get the timer going and uh kickstart the madness all right let's get started what's up welcome back sorry about that little jig at the beginning there's because i said let's kick start the madness and that song by madness popped into my head anyway today we're trying to set another frankly meaningless record for the most kfc nashville hot bikes eaten so they're in boxes of four we got 25 boxes or bowls i'm not sure what you call them 100 pieces well i would probably call them bowls since well they are clearly bowls balls are round and boxes are square apart from cricket boxes which is sort of more of a cod piece ship anyway i'm rambling today we're doing kfc hot bites uh nashville hot bites you get four of these in a bowl and uh they're pretty substantial pieces of chicken coated in uh nashville inspired hot sauce two pounds 59 for a for a bowl and uh yeah the sauce is pretty hot i thought they would be like nugget size these are really more like wings those are gonna be hard yeah i'm not sure how many of you will remember the uh the 100 kfc hot wings challenge it was a while ago but um that was uh that was rougher than a badges nutshack i think if anything there's more meat on these things than there is on a kfc hot wing and uh yeah we've got 25 i'm gonna go with tubs 25 tubs here four pieces per tub so we got 100 pieces so that's the goal oh look at this do that glass these things are huge yeah they're not really uniform in size like maybe a a chicken nugget would be or something like that but i actually weighed the ball and the uh the biggest piece was 70 grams the smallest piece was just less than 40 grams so i'm assuming they're supposed to be on average about 50 grams each so uh yeah get comfortable this is gonna be a tribulation get some snacks at the ready some popcorn maybe even some popcorn chicken there seems to be quite a large discrepancy between the amount of sauce in each ball because that's that's pretty stingy yeah come on kfc i mean granted these were all going to meet so it didn't make that much of a difference but if you ordered just like a regular portion you'd kind of feel like you got the soggy biscuit if you got one without without any sauce right defeats the point i should say in kfc's defense there weren't many of those you know most of the balls were adequately sourced the source is actually um i mean it's making me sweat but it's just below what i would call unpleasant it has a nice kind of fruity vibe to it it's not just raw heat which is um nice although when you get a lot of it it's going to be a bit overpowering spoke too soon the sauce isn't that hot followed by a huge grimace but actually to be fair as far as hot sauce goes at the start i really enjoyed this it has a nice kind of fruity cadence to it which is you know it's more effort than you would expect from a fast food joint there's more meat on these things than there is on the on the hot wings yeah look at that that's like a piece of original recipe chicken i don't care what anyone says this is by the way where it actually starts to get quite difficult although i will say it helped tremendously that i had these things delivered by that very nice chap that i used in the the intro uh at the start so you know when they arrived they were hot and i don't just mean nashville hot i mean you know in terms of actual temperature which was um interesting because you know i'm used to largely eating quite cold food the sauce is really getting to me now oh i don't want to do any more yeah that would be about right i think 30 minutes is usually around the time the general uh misery starts to set in so yeah i'm getting a little tired of this now i'm gonna keep going by the way this is your official disclaimer if you're watching in public this is when you should discreetly put your headphones in or at least turn the volume down or something because this is where the uh the weird noises begin i was friendship yeah the the coating on these things seems a little more um rugged than than usual i'm not sure if that's just to try and stand up to the the sauce you know heavy breathing that's uh that's a surefire sign that the food's getting stuck on its way past the whole diaphragm i'm getting there what we got um fi five balls left now you can do it son you gotta want it you gotta want it but you can do it uh hmm i'll say one thing for kfc these are these lids are inspired helps keep the chicken nice and hot sweaty a bit like me ugh yeah i should clarify when i say hot and sweaty i mean you know at this moment in time not in general you know in day day life because i in fact because i fast for so long i'm normally quite cold so i i quite rarely sweat a bit like uh prince andrew i can't use that smell it smells spicy it turned out to be harder than i thought it would be okay there's not enough space under my diaphragm to laugh otherwise i would it's quite funny doing some hot chicken i'm like four okay can i chip on those it was 100 what the heck they're called nashville hot bikes oh no one eternity later i can't do it otherwise that night and a half close enough time's broken
