just because you might not have craigslist in your country or wherever you're from it doesn't matter you can still target united states city for the purpose of this video we're going to be using craigslist we're going to be targeting the united states all right so let me hop on the computer here and let's take a look here move my microphone so that you can still hear me okay so i am on a local craigslist and again it does not matter which craigslist you go to you can go to any craigslist that you want but you're going to need to go to one i recommend you try multiple different cities out but i'm just going to start with one that i know the section we're looking for is under the housing section here and we're going to come to a section that says vacation rentals we're going to click that so again this could work really well depending on certain areas right but i just picked an area that was in this section and what you're looking at here is you're looking at people who have rentals that they're trying to rent now ideally we have a criteria of what we're looking for we want to target rentals that are in an area where people often go to vacation we don't really want like house rentals or like summer cottages unless like that summer cottage is in a really really like popular place then that might be okay but the reason why is because the way that we're going to actually make money with this is going to be leveraging the popularity of that particular resort or place so this one is a good example it leverages a popular brand windham um also leverages a popular place wisconsin dells it's a popular place in wisconsin where people go when they travel here's another example christmas mountain village also leverages the same thing this one downtown milwaukee hotel room that would be an example of one that's not so good so don't pick something like that um here's another one a good example glazer cannon windham again it it has a specific um structure hopefully you understand what we're looking for here now right something popular something that's not so much like this would be an example of a bad one because this is just some random lake um more good ones this one probably not so good because it's just like some random river so we're looking for brand names hopefully that's specific what we're gonna do is we're going to craft an email offering to help these guys out and i'll explain to you what i mean and don't worry if you don't have any idea like how you're gonna help them out that's okay i'm gonna share with you how it's very very easy i promise you'll be able to do it okay so we're going to type out this email here and this is what we're going to say we're going to say our first email is going to be subject and our subject line is going to be inquiry about your and then this is going to be where you're going to grab their branding so windham at the wilderness so it's gonna be inquiry about your windum window windum wilderness rental i'll say that that's gonna be our subject line and we're gonna say i was wondering what your availability looks like for next month now you can choose whatever month you want whether it be next month or a couple months out the point here is that you want to pick something where you can get a gauge of if they're actually getting a lot of bookings or not because if they're not getting a lot of bookings that puts you in a great position to actually help them out by marketing their property if they were to reply back and say hey we're completely booked then that's not going to be a good fit so pick something like a month out like i just said next month and then you're just gonna say thanks you know whatever your name is okay now typically what's gonna happen is you're gonna get a reply back from them and it's probably gonna say something like hey thanks for reaching out we do have availability can you tell me you know how many people are traveling with you and what you're coming here for like something like that right so here's where we reply what we're going to do is we're going to reply something to this effect we're going to say let's put this on a little bit lower line thank you for getting back to me i specialize in getting bookings for rental properties and and this is where you're going to put like the city or the like place where they are and don't worry i'm gonna share with you how to actually do that so if it sounds like oh i don't think i'm gonna be able to do this don't worry it's really you'll be able to do it i promise okay uh we'll say i'd be willing to help you get your property booked for and then this is where you can name your price so maybe you want to charge 250 a month 500 a month it's up to you how much you want to actually make doing this you could even take a percentage of whatever is booked so like maybe you take 10 so if they get you know i don't know let's say they book for 500 you get 50 bucks off of that it's up to you so name your price here we'll just put price and then you just you know sign off again with your name let's say all the best name okay so they agree let's say from this point they're right back to you you know they're they're struggling they say yeah i i actually would like you to help me get this property booked tell me the details tell me and then you can name your price or whatever if you want to do that in two emails or one doesn't matter but this is the basic email structure like you saw on the screen that you do want to follow let's talk about how you're actually going to get this property marketed and help them out okay so what you want to do is you want to create a facebook group or a facebook page now you're going to create this group and you're going to have keywords in these group names or the page names that are of the popular destination or resort just depending you want to be careful on the resort side of things because you you do want to be careful of not you know getting um copyrighted or something like that for using someone's trademark but you can't really get copyrighted on a popular destination like like the the place where it's at right so do it however you want both ways worked i've done both ways before but usually what ends up happening if you create this facebook group or this facebook page is and you put keywords in it is people are going to start to find it and if you want you can use ads to definitely jump start this if you wanted to run facebook ads you don't have to but it can definitely help jump start it and the ads are really easy to run for this maybe i'll make another video on it even if you're interested just comment below and let me know but ads are super easy if you want to jumpstart your page or your group with ads because you can just target that city or you can target people who recently traveled there who want to travel there with the facebook ad targeting which makes it really cool but you don't have to do that just having the the keyword stuffed into the group name or the page name work great and you're going to want to fill that group that page with content and content is really easy because you just need to like you know fill it up with the popular destinations there like what cool things do they have to do there like this particular city that i showed you is filled with water parks so it would be really easy for me to like show all the cool water parks that are there there's a casino there i could show the casino that's what i'm talking about but what this does is it helps get the page filled it helps make it look legitimate and on your facebook page or your group you can start to then post advertisements for this property that you're partnering with on pages you can actually do what's called a book now button and that's just like a button if you've ever been to a facebook page there's buttons on the pages that actually let you click like book now or however it may be and just like that now they're reaching out to book with you and you can put them in touch with the property owner and then get your cut this is kind of like lead generation but with a little bit different spin on it because you don't have to just charge per lead you could actually just charge per month it's kind of like a mix between lead generation and social media marketing which is why
