Distribute text title
when editing video one of the tasks that you do over and over again is adding text on the screen often it's in the form of a lower third where you add a location or somebody's name and title at the bottom of the frame to identify them because it's something you do over and over again you can waste time but by using templates in Premiere Pro you can save time by using the same template over and over and over and let me show you how it's not that hard so here we are in Premiere Pro and I've got a project open and I want to add a lower third I'm going to go to title new title default still and I'm going to give it a name and I'm going to call it base lower third and it opens up the standard window the first thing I want to do is design the bar and I'm just going to use first of all the rectangle tool and I'm going to establish an area on the bottom of the frame that I'm going to use for my lower third this is a solid I don't want it to be solid I want it to have a little gradient on the end so over here in the properties I can select this drop down and go linear gradient I don't like the color so I'm going to change the stop color and I'm just going to grab a blue that's maybe a little more in here if I had a specific number I could enter those but you'll notice that this is just a blue to white and that's not what I want so let's take it blue to blue and I want my opacity to be zero you'll notice that I've added this gradient by selecting I'm talking to this one the opacity is zero this just fades off to nothing but that's not the angle I want it to be at the end so I can change the angle by rotating this in this case I'm going to want to be 270 and I can adjust how narrow or sharp it is by using the gradient stops and now I have a lower third that I can position and if I need to extend it for some reason because somebody's got a title or that's extra long if I need to shorten it I can just grab the bounding box here at the end this little box here and I can stretch it longer or shorter even after I've created my template so let's put it about the middle of the frame and so now we've got our blue to nothing and our pasady set and we are good to go I can also if I want to adjust the opacity of the other color so that it has some transparency to it I could say I want it to be at 90 percent helps it...
