in the last video we talked about going into the survey settings page to set up the econsent framework before our study this allows us to be able to download PDF of the consent form that's been filled out by our study participants to maintain for our documentation in the meantime I've also gone ahead and just created a form of contact information or we're just collecting basic information email and phone numbers so that we can send out our survey our informed consent form to individuals in our project so I'll say add edit records I'll do add new record now go down so let's say I'm collecting their contact information to send it to so I'll just use my own email and make up a phone number mark that complete I'll say save and go to next form and I can go down so these fields here for the participant first name and last name are going to be for our study participants but of course I as the study personnel might also want to or need to be required to by our IRB approval to provide my information so I'll add signature signature I'll say I filled this out today I'm going to leave that incomplete and I'll say save and exit form and I'll say ignore since these are blank so if I was to go into the record status dashboard I can see for person number two that we just filled out the ICF is not quite filled out yet if I click on that we can see we have the images of the form that we've filled out so far and down here at the bottom the participant information is missing so I can scroll back up go to survey options and here we can have an option for composed survey invitation so I could send it out immediately or later I could have a reminder or not depending on what has been approved with the IRB I can choose where to send it to because I set this as an email field validating his email I can see that email here or I could provide a different email and we would give it a name again something that's going to be approved by the IRB that will make sense and be reasonably discrete for your project and again this information we can send it out and as they fill it out you will receive it back and it will eventually live in the file repository over here under PDF survey archive because I did not actually complete the consent it's not there yet but it will be when individuals consent so that's the econsent framework for projects at NYU again if you have any questions particularly around what information you're required to provide definitely contact your IRB representative if you're having technical issues with redcap you can either contact myself by emailing HSL data services at nyu langone org or if you click on this blue button here for contact redcap administrator it will open up an email to contact the redcap administrator and he may be able to help you troubleshoot and answer questions you may have so thank you for your time
