believe it or not most of the hard work is done the rest of it is just on you know how do you actually sign and send encrypted emails well this little video segments going to show you how to send an email to your friend or whoever and sign it the purpose of signing an email is twofold first it allows a receiver to verify that the person who sent the mail is really you and that's some BOTS you know not some imposter pretending to be you and the second is that it actually gives them the public key so that they can save that and then if they want to send you an encrypted email using your key they can do that and then you have some secure communication going on so let's uh let's send a sign email and this is pretty simple we're going to write a new email message and I'm going to send this back to Xavier again okay and for the subject i'm going to say signed email to xavier and i want to say hey joe this is my signed email so anyway and so in order to sign it where you'll see up here at the top there's a drop-down labeled security and if we click the down arrow that we see that we got a couple of different options here unless we have their public key we can't encrypt this message but we can digitally sign this message and this is what we're interested in we're so we're going to select that then that will digitally sign the message and if we look down here the very bottom you'll see a little envelope with the seal on it back back when they used to send mail before they had stickam that they could lick on the envelope or stinky stuff that they could feel the wax paper off of and stick they used to dab a some wax on there and they would have a crest on the ring and they would push into that whack so who ever seen that seeing the impression of that of that ring and they knew that really came from the king or whoever so that's kind of essentially with that little symbol is all about so now that we got this done we simply send it it's delivered and sent so we sent our first signed email so what I'm going to do is I want to reply back in a few minutes and we'll get a sign email and then from Xavier account and then we'll see how to send Savior and encrypted email and then we'll have Savior sending encrypted email back so we can see what both of them look like on our end so that's essentially that and we'll be back here in a little bit to do the second half on sending an encrypted email see it really wasn't that bad keep your chin up we're almost done thanks guys I appreciate your time in your effort
