hi my name's oliver thanks so much for joining me in the summer we had to close our montpelier drive-through lanes due to excessive moisture in the old vacuum tubes that went between the lanes and the branch inside since then we've been hard at work at a new solution for you that works even better and we think you're going to be really excited about it let me show it to you right next to me here you can see our brand new video teller machine in lane one at montpelier we have three lanes each with the same machine now it might look a little bit like an atm and that's because it is but not only can it do atm transactions it can also conduct your typical teller transactions that you're used to in a drive-through experience let me show you how the atm works first before we call one of our tellers and say hi in order to begin a transaction in our atm all you need to do is insert a vsecu debit card you can see a green section on our device flashing what i need to do is take my vsecu debit card insert it into the slot in the machine and press firmly with my thumb until it stops the machine will make an audible click sound as it grabs onto my card for the duration of the transaction don't try to pull your card out of the machine during the transaction as that may damage it now once the card has entered the machine there'll be a pop-up on screen asking you for your pin number i'm going to enter my pin number now once you've entered your pin number the machine will ask you if you'd like a receipt in this case i'm going to click no now i have a number of options presented to me i can withdraw money check my balance make a deposit including with a check get fast cash a transfer or change my pin now since many of us are used to atms i'm not going to show you any of the individual functions here today what i'm going to do though is hit exit at the bottom of the screen and once the transaction is cancelled there'll be a message on screen for your security once it's ready for us to remove our card it'll notify us to take our card and beep audibly we can remove our card and our transaction is complete a thank you message will display on screen letting you know it's safe to drive away but what if you wanted to make a different type of transaction for example you might like to withdraw amount of cash that's higher than you can on your vsecu debit card or perhaps you'd like to make a loan payment those functions and more are available by connecting to one of our tellers let's see if someone's available now all i have to do to begin talking to a teller is touch the screen [Music] depending on how many people are in line ahead of you it may take a few moments to connect to a teller hi amanda how are you today good how are you i'm fantastic now since we've connected to amanda we can actually see her on screen but there's more than that she can also see us on screen and that's super awesome because if you know amanda and you work with her every day or whenever you come to one of our drive-throughs well you get to see her right on screen which is just super awesome there are a few other options on screen as well for example if i can't quite hear amanda all i have to do is turn up her volume amanda can you say hello see how loud that is you can see it got a lot louder so if you're slightly hard of hearing feel free to turn up the machine volume so that you can hear amanda clearly now one of my favorite functions of working with a teller through a video teller machine like this is the chat functionality amanda can you bring up the chat functionality i sure can now that amanda's brought up the chat functionality we're able to send her private messages using chat this way there may be things that you don't want to audibly speak for example out the window of your car so you can lean out and simply enter the message or numbers that you'd like amanda to know thanks so much for that it's been great it's been great spending some time with you thanks so much have a great day once my transaction with amanda is complete i may receive a receipt from the receipt printer if i requested it you'll also get a thank you message and it will return to the screen where you started this is just a wonderful experience for interacting with our tellers and we think you're gonna love it now there are a few tips that may help you when you come to our drive-through to get through nice and fast and continue on with your day for example remember those deposit slips that you needed to conduct transactions that are drive-throughs well in montpelier that is no longer required so you can recycle those old deposit slips safely they're still required in our branches and some of our other drive-throughs but here in montpelier you're good to go without them you may be also used to bundling up some cash a check maybe a deposit slipper or an id into one thing or envelope and sending it in the drive-through because this machine is so high-tech we no longer need you to do those things so please don't insert rubber bands paper clips or anything like that along with your cash it'll help you and your transaction go much much quicker when you come to our drive through it's also useful to have your checks signed in advance signing your checks in advance allows us to process them in this machine and get the money to you nice and quick if you don't sign your check there's not too much to worry about we'll send the check back out so that you can sign it whenever you're ready our video teller machines have a lot of awesome functionality one thing that's important for you to know is that if you'd like to make a money order or do co-op banking you'll need to do that inside the first time you come to one of our video teller machines it's understandable that you might be a little nervous it's the usual with any brand new technology now if you feel a little nervous about going through our drive-through and
