in today's video I'm gonna try to track down the girl who runs the treatment center that leased a house from us build it with furniture and then fell off the face of the earth now there's really only one of two ways I see this going the first way which is highly highly doubtful as she says oh my gosh yes I'd like my furniture back allow me to pay you the lost rent you've now missed out on again not holding my breath second option is she says hey I'm not gonna pay you the rent I owe you and I'm not gonna come and get my stuff that way we don't have to sit on it for 90 days other reason I'm doing this I'm legitimately curious what happened it's not super rational to pay someone four thousand dollars spend thousands of dollars on furniture for no reason I could think of way more fun ways to blow five six grand let's dive right in alright so one of the things that you can take away from this video that's gonna be actionable is if you're ever trying to find the owner of a particular LLC maybe they own an apartment or a house or something you want to buy this is going to show you exactly how I would personally go through and track them down so this is the particular facility it's known as our treatment center in copyright 2019 so that hasn't been updated so let's see what we've got here I mean just kind of a basic website so first thing I know the girl's name we're gonna blur out her last name or first names lacoya so first thing we're gonna do is come in here and see what's the Secretary of State has on file so this is most well every state has this where you can look in see info on businesses if names are available etc perfect so we've got a match it was actually really easy this is the legal entity name this is the principal office address which actually look like it's a new address no that's one we had associated with this gal looks like it's a house I think it's this one this is 440 use those lips I could be 442 that's nice just mattress landing in the road okay so she is the registered agent interesting we have a third address also have this address on here which is the business address which I'm guessing interesting one six eight oh two doors drive doesn't appear to exist whereas six eight oh two does so let's see if that was a typo what is six eight oh two [Music] interesting that just looks like a house so we're gonna leave that up on kind of our list of addresses to dig into all right so looks like that's probably all we're gonna get out of here it looks like there is an entity report that was due on the 31st very interesting so on April 1st she filed an articles of amendment all right so the other thing I want to check because our other kind of thought potentially what's going on here is that this girl got herself and kind of some legal trouble potentially some issues so we are going to log into Indiana's public court system and see what we can see [Music] all right looks like potentially an eviction for small claims on 3:18 looks like a operating with expired plates on 3:18 looks like a potential another eviction [Music] yeah every company in small [Music] first key homes LLC looks like [Music] potentially another eviction that's an eviction hearing oh wow okay interesting the goods were removed and placed in storage here's another one [Music] eviction hearing damages hearing this looks like another one as in Seine ooh ouch looks like somebody wanted $29,000 judgment against her this is very very interesting so it looks like the girl who was running the group homes or owned them leased a whole bunch of them looks like she got some sort of like a Chamber of Commerce or like a startup business grant that they ended up suing and winning a twenty nine thousand dollar judgment for so it really looks to me like she potentially tried launching four or five different sites at once and something happened or maybe she wasn't able to fill them or she ran out of cash or something now one thing I will say just about kind of this whole thing you can't really get blood out of a turnip so if they don't have any money good luck collecting we could potentially get a judgment for you know fifteen hundred bucks three grand for lost rent but the grand scheme of things who ever really gonna collect probably not now that being said honestly if courthouses were open right now and not closed for Cova we would probably still go ahead and file but it's easier for other people to find as well similar to well fortunately other people we found that did I wish I could pretend that we're perfect but we're not we're still constantly learning lessons and sharing them with you guys we've had a lot of really good experiences with group homes but I think this does go to show you want to do background research like this not necessarily background checks on anybody who reaches out to you on behalf of a group home had we dug into this gal a little bit we never would have leased at the group home which well she owned all right so it's almost like a shelf corporation to get her in the property looks like she set up probably four or five properties like ours looks like a Chamber of Commerce or something of that nature then went and got a judgment so it almost looks like she borrowed some money tried to kind of set up this business and then maybe couldn't get insurance or couldn't get them filled there's something maybe just ran out of cash but now she's racking up a lot in judgments so ultimately what we're gonna do is store her stuff for 90 days then liquidate it we don't have to do any fiction notice because we've posted a notice of abandonment and that's different in Indiana and then lastly we're gonna send her to collections for the money that were out for the rent she didn't pay as well as things like storage costs moving costs and then lastly lost rent so if it takes us a month or two to fill that place that'll be tacked on to the amount that she is then sent to collections for I hope you enjoyed the video be sure to like subscribe talk to you guys next time thanks
