what's up guys bobby here from slitex and today i'm going to show you how to use the age verification feature ready let's go we have three different ages you can use to verify your subscribers 21 18 and 16. let's check it out over on our dashboard we're going to go into the text word settings find your text word here and go to the right side to options and settings on the next page here you're going to be on the set auto reply page on the left here we're going to go over to age verification on this page here we're simply going to turn this to the on position and then select the age that we want to verify before they opt in let's do 21 and older for this one all right now we have it turned on now before we actually test this out and see how it works i want to make sure that you guys understand what this is really used for and what it does so before somebody opts into your list we can ask them to reply with their birthday once they reply with their birthday we'll do a calculation to see if they meet that age requirement that age gate some folks call it and if they do we will add them to your list and send them your odd reply for that text word list if they don't we'll send them back a message that says you do not meet the age requirement for this list and we will not add them okay so let's check it out here on the phone in the number spot we're gonna put 888 111 in the message spot we're gonna go ahead and put the keyword bb grill and we're going to hit send now the first thing you notice is that our system is going to ask you to verify your age now we're going to go ahead and reply with our birthday in the specified format once you reply with your birthday and hit send it's going to do that calculation and then spit you back your response either you're going to receive the auto reply which i did or you can receive a message that says you do not meet the age verification so there's my auto reply and now i'm on the list if we look over in our contacts tab for the bb grill list you'll notice that my contact is right there at the top and that's how you use our age verification feature here at slicktext should you guys have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to us 1-800-688-6290 or email us info at slicktext.com hey check out my next video where i'm going to show you how age verification and the birthday feature work together to capture birthdays and provide great analytical data thanks for watching guys we'll catch you soon you
