YMCA summer day camps provide kids with imaginative activities that ensure they have fun while making new friends building self-confidence and discovering the world around them here at the YMCA we practice the four core values of caring honesty respect and responsibility one week or the whole summer indoors and out on their own or in a group archery to arts canoeing to cannonballs your kids will have an amazing experience this summer all in a safe inclusive and nurturing environment as a parent or guardian of a camp goer you've got questions about what campers should bring drop-off instructions and emergency contact info well we've got answers to your most common questions where and how do i drop my child off for camp each day Norton Commons requires parents to park and walk their child in and sign them in and out Oldham County requires parents to park and walk their child in and sign them in and out in the indoor arena north east south west and southeast is curbside drop-off and pickup with car rider tags for each vehicle parents are still required to sign in and out check-in is anytime between 7 to 9 a.m. pickup is from 4 to 6 p.m. a photo ID is required for pickup at each location what the campers need to bring each day your child needs to bring athletic clothes toed shoes a reusable water bottle a non refrigerated lunch a swimsuit a towel and spray sunscreen snacks are provided please make sure each item is labeled with your child's first and last name we all know kids lose stuff dress appropriately because campers will get dirty what are the weekly themes for this summer we offer a variety of themes each week of our summer camp to enhance the camper experience and frame the activities for the week please check our website to see what themes your location has in store what field trips are scheduled for the summer each camp offers a variety of field trips to actively engage our campers the full list of field trips offered will vary at each site but please check our web page to see what may be offered at your location all field trips at each location are included in the cost of camp for the safety of your camper pickup and drop off is only possible at branch locations how will I receive communication from the Kansas staff the camp staff communicate with parents in many ways it's important to always read your emails be aware of any signage at the sign-in and sign-out station and check in with the camp staff to make note of any changes or updates for the week what happens in case of an emergency each camp site has a specific camp cell phone that is carried with them at all times camp staff will contact parents and guardians for any emergency how do I pay for camp when registering for camp a billing method is kept on file for automatic payments for each week of camp the balance due is automatically deducted the Friday prior to that week if you would like to cancel a week of camp we do ask that you notify us no later than the Wednesday before that particular week what's the refund policy deposits and registration fees are non-refundable for all summer camps if your child attends any portion of a particular week of camp the entire weekly fee is non-refundable we only offer weekly rates so for one price your child can attend one day or all five days of camp each week our staff is ready and waiting to make this as summer to remember we'll see you soon
