hey guys it's Dan and here is my third video as far as the Amazon Fulfillment and where we're going so I've been super motivated super just doing everything recently and here's the update so we've learned a lot of things just over the last 48 hours and unfortunately we were learning from mistakes so I'll get into that right now actually so told you guys in the last video that I got the tax ID that actually is okay but there is a little you know a little hitch in in the process that I'll explain so we do have the ein that's fine but the bank account so the bank account I thought I was finished with the phone call I made the video pretty much like right after I made the phone call to the bank so the guy took all the information over the phone took everything about my business so I thought that was all that was going to be it but I was I was dead wrong actually so he sends me an email two days later stating that he needs some information from us and I need to fill out some more forms before I can get the account so this is what he sends me so these are the four requirements so you got the the first form which is just an authorization for information and certificate of authority this was really not that bad this was mostly just information about me so just signatures information about the business and it looks like it just requires my driver's license super easy can scan that through my printer get that attached to the thing but if ocation regarding beneficial owners of legal and any customers that actually doesn't look like it pertains to me too much I'm going to call him and get some more information about it but it looks like it's mostly filled out by the banker side and if your sole proprietor or maybe a single member LLC it may not be something that you have to do but then I actually scroll down a little bit more step four is what started concerning me and this is where all the problems arise from so they said that they may request articles of organization operating agreement certificates and then driver's license so driver's license of course is still fine but that articles have organism had me doing tons of research and I realized that you know you're not actually an LLC until you file this articles this articles of organization with the state so yeah so this is this is where everything started now what I had at least as far as a previous history with doing this is I did use Legal Zoom once so there was a business I just wanted to start for playing cards where I filed the business in the state of Florida through Legal Zoom cost me a fortune I think it cost me I think it's still costing them money at this point but it was somewhere close to $450 or some ridiculous amount of money I would recommend against it just do your research and you can get it so much cheaper so what I had to do was I pulled out my old document was looking through it and stuff like that and I found the articles of organization I found that LegalZoom actually did file it for me even though I was a single member LLC so I was able to actually find this really good website and it's a link it in the description here it's nolo and it's focused more towards Florida but it's focused on single member LLC's and it gives you the steps as far as how to do it correctly so the first thing is come up with your name I already came up with my name and everything like that I already got the ein with that name the next is to follow our articles of organization and this is where I absolutely did mess up but what I did is I went to the the Florida Department and I went to their division of corporations website so the Florida Department of State clicked on the start of business went to the limited liability company and then we went through filing this so basically we are filing this it's going to cost you at least in Florida it's a hundred and twenty-five dollars I added the certificate of status I don't know if you actually need that but whatever it's a certificate it's cool I decided it's worth by five dollars that's up to you if you guys want to do that you're just filling it out with your information mailing address and then here in the state of Florida you're required to have a registered agent so this is only for Florida folks it can be you I decided to make it me essentially what the registered agent does is essentially if you're receiving documents from the government or something they're trying to get in touch with you they're looking to go through somebody but you could be your own person I just put my information there it really wasn't anything too tough so Phil that paid $130 were refiled we're going to to be getting that in about two to three business days so then on this it says to prepare your operating agreement so that it doesn't seem like single member LLC's really need to do this but I mean there is forms on the internet so you can do it just makes you more professional if you know if there is legal action taken or anything like that having all of this is the correct way to do it so of course you want to do it the right way I will probably fill out an operating agreement I got to do more research on it obviously I have no idea what it really means or anything like that so the fourth thing is to get the ein and that's where the hitch was is because even when you go through the Florida Department once you fill out all this the next screen essentially says do not get an EIN until it's been filed I called them up just to see what that means because I kind of got really nervous because I already had my ein he said it's completely fine the reason why they don't suggest filing the for the are getting the ein prior to filing your articles of organization is because if it does come back or get rejected because that business names already taken or something like that it could cause a whole mess with the IRS and stuff like that so that he said it's not going to bother me he searched my business name says everything should be fine so you know we're not going to argue with that so that was kind of what we did I mean you know we we went to this email we noticed the articles of organization read a little bit more about the operating agreement so we filed our articles of organization this morning I'm probably going to read more about the operating agreement and then you know we're going good from there so that's what I did today so and the the thing I mentioned earlier I did have a business I filed through Legal Zoom apparently if you file as an LLC so this is just a little tip a reminder so if you do choose the same route as me you have to file these annual reports which essentially just said that your business hasn't changed in any way that there's no change in ownership that all the information there is still correct now I did not do that for the one that I filed through Legal Zoom and what I notice that is that it does look like there is a four hundred dollar late fee for not doing it which I think I'm going to get hit with but I did today also dissolve that company sorry my phone just went off but I also did dissolve that company so hopefully maybe we can get that waived or something maybe the state will be generous I'm a taxpayer please you know what I mean so we'll see but so always be on top of your stuff if you do give yourself the registered agent just look into what you're going to have to do what kind of tax forms and stuff and I'll probably have some more information for you later as I learn it so this is from gumming from nowhere so this is where I'm at right now so we just filed the articles of organization we're going to create the the operating agreement and then we'll finish up with the bank account so bank accounts kind of put on hold until I get that information so that I can send it in if it's requested it is requested so let me give you a status on the the product so the product sourcing has been doing very well it's probably my favorite part about the whole entire thing so I had 10 people reach out to me to create my product I have it down to about three that I'm enjoying talking to purely just based off of how they're giving me the quotes the response time they're English just doing research on their business if this is what they actually do and this is the products that they focus on so I'm down to about three of them I can't really progress until I have the credit card and a bank account establish because I need to keep all these expenses in one place is the thing so right now I'm probably going to drag out the process about a week or so until I can get everything that I need for business bank account credit card all that stuff but in that week I'm probably going to be trying to get that price down so their prices are all relatively around the same place some are like between like 50 they're like a dollar higher but they're all pretty close so I'm going to see if I can get that down and just keep talking to them see how they respond back to me asking questions and stuff like that really get a feel and obviously it's going to be a gut feeling who I'd go with to get that sample that first sample and the other thing is the boxing the packaging so the UPC codes that's another thing that's actually costing me quite a bit of you know headache so honestly the standard for the UPC codes with Amazon thing just seems a mess it seems like not everybody's on the same page so I'll try and explain it once I get some more information about it that'll probably be in the next video to be honest after I get the bank account I'll probably be the update on the bank account and their update on the business and the the gs1 codes versus third-party codes for UPC codes so that's where we're at busy day crazy day hope you guys enjoyed it if you guys could just like subscribe and hey we'll keep keep this progress going here so just do it guys just go out there and do it the mindset go do it thank you bye bye
