josh wore his knife she was hiking this past weekend i don't know why you can ask him about it does this look like a good noble look i got the button up jeans and the nike slides what do you think [Music] [Applause] so we are celebrating our third wedding anniversary today yeah let's go we've made it three years did you think we'd make it this long of course i did it's forever it's forever ever did you think we would make it this long yes of course of course i did we switch off planning anniversary and valentine's day every year so i'm in charge of the anniversary this year and i think i've gone all out all out because we are on our way to nobu in malibu california this is gonna be the most amazing culinary experience of josh's life i don't know five guys is a pretty high bar to meet and uh i don't know we'll see how it compares i actually went here last year i came down to la to visit some clients and then took them out to dinner there and i still have been thinking about that meal for the last like 365 days it was like the best thing i've ever eaten times like 10. wanting to take josh here ever since then and we're finally doing that today to celebrate anniversary haven't heard nobu it is like the celebrity hot spot place the kardashians frequent there a ton of other celebrities are known to visit there explain this to me so you're out to dinner with kanye is that timothy xiaomi and kid cudi yes it was cuddy's birthday and uh he was like hey let's go to nobu and i was like that's awesome so i hope we spot some people today that will be the greatest anniversary gift the reservation experience was super intense that's how you know it's very exclusive i called exactly a month ago today like 20 minutes after reservations opened up and they only had two time slots left we ended up going with the 2pm having like a late lunch early dinner you all get to come experience it with us come eat with us and let's go [Music] so we're sitting there first course comes out white fish on cucumber and a ton of lemon juice honestly i don't even remember the other stuff she said that was on this all i know is it was incredible [Music] they give you these chopsticks at the start and you have to use those for pretty much everything [Music] second course this dish was specifically designed to be eaten from left to right there's a tuna then a jalapeno yellow tail and then a salmon and that's ginger at the end that you're supposed to eat in between each bite to cleanse your palate okay so the third course comes out this one was sashimi salad this was like a masterpiece [Music] so at this point we had been through three courses i personally was like still super hungry and starting to worry a little bit like am i gonna leave this place with an empty stomach kind of a feeling but this next course completely changed that this was like one of their signature dishes it's fried rock shrimp with spicy mayo you're gonna like this one it's like fried and covered in like the talkable spicy sauce [Music] also i was super pumped on this one because katie couldn't finish her whole bowl so i gotta eat a bunch of hers [Music] and then they bring out course five which you honestly can't even see the meat on here at steak covered in these fried onions this one especially is one of those plates that's like too beautiful to even eat [Music] the steak was cooked to perfection but honestly my favorite part of this one was the crispy onions and the sauce on the bottom just like dipping the onions in the sauce was next level then they bring out the soup here sixth course it had some jalapenos in it and this rice cake at the bottom this one felt like one of the most bougie courses where you're just sitting there looking at the water sipping this soup i just tried to think of all the celebrities that had done this before me had been here in this spot looking out at this view [Music] and then the final course course number seven this is dessert so this one was a whiskey custard with a cappuccino ice cream and a cinnamon whipped cream topping katie and i both don't do whiskey or like cappuccino stuff so we just had the whipped cream and then tried to mash it up like it looked like we ate it like somebody ate it [Music] what is up guys we got back from nobu and of course what did we do well because we were sad we couldn't eat the dessert we had to stop and get some donuts give me those we've already eaten like half of them before we dive in what are your final thoughts about nobu that if you're gonna go and have like a nice dinner somewhere that is the place to go i think that tops everything just being on the water right there the view amazing food the audience the ambiance is so nice we've been way more expensive too like that for how nice of a meal that was i think that was a steal it actually wasn't as bad as you would think but you know it's not like it's applebee's you know it's snowboo you know which is like 77 applebee's like that's the place to go when i went the first time it like changed my life i still think about that mill and today was just as good so i thought it would be cute if we answered some like anniversary questions that i found online what was your top moment of this past year of marriage top moment i feel like i have to replay every moment in our lives in my brain and then pick one [Applause] just what do you think of our boston trip that was the highlight for me that was so fun it was just fun to explore boston with you a new city that i've never been to we love we both love like walking around exploring history and stuff and that was the spot to be trying fun foods the lobster rolls like that was just a super fun trip then my favorite was probably going to hamilton which you guys all got to see on josh's day in the life i like have been obsessed with hamilton for years and hadn't seen the play but i know like every word to the soundtrack and then josh took me and it was really fun okay what do you know now about marriage that you didn't know when we got married or like it doesn't have to be marriage like what do you know now about me that you didn't know when we got married um i did not know that i was marrying someone that hated panda express as bad as katie does panda express is one of my favorite restaurants ever that's true and i don't think i ever tried to take you there before we were married but then after we were married you just find stuff out you wish you knew before i do go with you i just don't order anything i hate panda express there's have you ever ordered there in our marriage no and there's there's few places i dislike when it comes to food yeah i'm pretty chill but like panda express it's just not worth it ever under any circumstances is it worth it i also didn't know that josh is the type of person that adjusts the temperature very often so if he's cold he just turns the ac off oh yeah until he starts sweating that's what the ac is for that's what the buttons are for you and it turns it back on you click them to adjust them and for me you know i just pick my temperature that i'm feeling good at most the time and i just leave it at that but josh is like 67 and then it gets up to like 76 and he's like oh i'm kind of hot and turns it back on to 67. yeah no i didn't know that about him because i had to live with him okay if you could pick one word to describe katie this year what would it be this year yeah this year like this year of marriage and i have to pick one word to describe josh this year at marriage uh visionary you've like had your dream book you write in and like what your goals are like what do you do how often do you do that once a week i try to do every day you try and do it every day she writes her goals out she has this journal that she's been keeping and i feel like that started this year just writing my thoughts out and i feel like because we've started because we've started youtube you've i feel like you've started thinking about businesses more that we could do and stuff together and that whole side of you's like really come out this year yeah for sure well entrepreneur katie okay so this isn't like the overall number one characteristic of josh but the one that's like distinct this year is because this is like the year that we ventured back into doing like businesses and side hustles together is i would call i would use the word perfectionist oh yeah for this year for josh because he could see that that's definitely like come out this year with youtube videos or projects like if it has to be like 100 all out perfect all those fancy animations you see on the screen i toil over those for hours this is a what's it a cronut no an ona an onut it's a croissant donut so yummy okay so one last question mm-hmm what is my favorite thing your favorite thing right now this year this little time capsule making sugar-free treats that is very true that is 100 what's my favorite thing your favorite thing this year right now is streaming on twitch or eating spicy things like i make josh's day a lot by like picking up the new spicy cheese puff snack or noodle bowl at
