hey Joe here good house painting calm and today we're gonna go over how to get painting contracts now there's a couple ways to go about getting painting contract there is an the organic way and there is also the paid way so let's go over a couple of each the first organic way to get painting contracts and I think the best way to get painting contracts and to build your online presence is Google my business now if you're not on Google my business and you haven't signed up I don't know what you're waiting for Google my business will put you in your business on the map pack is what they call it on the Google search so on the first page on the listings you'll see a map and they put three businesses up on the map and to get on the very top of those three basically you just need to have more Google reviews I did this with a lot of my companies and it works like a charm that combined with organic SEO for your website you could probably have two positions on the top of the first page when someone looks up painting contractors in your area or you can pay for advertising which we'll talk about later and maybe have three positions on the first page of when customers search for painting contractors in your area so Google my business is really important it's pretty easy to sign up for it does take a little bit of time they will send you a postcard in the mail and you will be able to verify your business that way and it takes a little time and effort but it's well worth it and the next organic way of getting more painting contracts is email marketing email marketing is still a big deal people are used to spam these days so you just have to be careful and make sure that you provide your clients with valuable emails that are worth their time what I do or what I did is I would set up my clients my pre-existing clients on an email marketing drip campaign this way I would be able to keep the top of mind and they would always refer to me when it came to having any painting done and the third one that we're gonna go over is social media social media is a good idea for any business especially these days there's facebook there's LinkedIn there's Instagram you can use all of these platforms to leverage your business make sure you just populate each one daily with valuable content pertaining to your customers all right now we're gonna go over paid ways of giving painting contracts and there are several ways to pay for leads one is pay-per-click which is usually Google Ads you pay when someone clicks your link to your website or your advertisement and you also pay per keyword so if other people are bidding on your keyword it might be harder for you to rank so Google has a lot of options that you can work with and they've been around for a long time 3.5 billion searches every single day so Google is a pretty big deal and Facebook advertising Facebook advertising is by far my favorite form of advertising I think that it is really granular and you can target your audience very specifically which with a local service business is pretty important the next thing we're going to go over is paper leads paper leads is really good for beginning painting businesses especially because you can get business basically right away as long as you are on point with responding to the apps so basically you sign up to home advisor or thumbtack or Angie's List or porch or it goes on and on my favorite was thumbtack I think they're the most fair and least expensive we got a lot of jobs in the beginning of our businesses with thumbtack homeadvisor on the other hand can give you some good amount of work and bigger jobs but it's a little expensive it's definitely to me not worth it but we did use him for a little bit and we did gain some pretty nice customers some long-term customers Angie's List never really messed with Angie's List before I've known people who have and apparently they used to not charge you but now they do but they are a very high quality way of getting leads so it's another option and that's it for now I mean if you want to go on to our website at good house-painting dot-com you can go over to the article section and you can scroll down until you find how to get painting contracts click the article it'll bring you over we have a lot more than I discussed I just went over a few of the basics but if you look here we do have a lot even talk about Realtors and house flippers billboards magazines I mean it goes on and on and don't forget to check out other things on the website as well if you like this video please like and subscribe make sure to click the bell icon this way when I put out my next video you will get notification if you know anyone who will gain value from this content please share it with your friends or family and thanks again happy painting [Music]
