one of the great findings in positive psychology is the importance of our signature strengths our signature strengths are those strengths that are most core to who we are as human beings their strengths that are energizing when we use them their strengths that are very easy and natural to express our family and friends will see these strengths in us very easily and we use them across different settings so we use them at work and at school and in our relationships and with our family and in our social life and one of the interesting findings in positive psychology is that if people can identify what their signature strengths are and then use them in a new way each day the tax actually has a very strong connection with being happier less depressed having better work happiness and many other positive benefits and we can think of this in a very easy way where we say my highest strength is curiosity then my job is to think of what are some new ways I can use my curiosity how can I expand that expand my thinking from just how I'm just using it in general so for example I might take very simply I might take a new new route home tomorrow when I'm when I'm driving and really kind of explore the neighborhood as I'm driving and the next day I'm gonna use my curiosity in another way another new way the next day I might try a new food at a new restaurant and then the next day maybe I'll connect with a new person at work and ask them a couple curious questions that I hadn't asked before the next day I might try to go into a new store I never been in before and really explore it so that would be those are just some examples of how I would be using that's an inter strength of mine curiosity in a new way you're really expanding the way that I think about it
