hey there this is James from isotropic and plug-in - review.com and in today's video we're going to be taking a look at a plug-in called WP legal pages pro and this is the pro version of a very popular free plugin that allows you to easily add everything that you need to make your website compliant so first off here's the free plugin privacy policy generator if you look it up you'll find it has 10,000 plus active installations and over 18 180,000 downloads and basically what it does it helps you generate privacy policies privacy notices and stuff like that to comply with the CCPA the gdpr and other legal requirements for disclosures on your website and it does everything from privacy policies to affiliate things to really any policy that you may need for the legal aspect of your WordPress website so affiliate disclosures earnings disclaimers medical disclaimers stuff like that it offers pre-made templates that you can use to easily create a disclosure policy or any policy that you may need so first off we're going to be reviewing the pro version and the pro version costs $39 per year and it helps you in generating these individual terms conditions and policies and these are 25 plus expert vetted policy pages and they integrate with specific things and they are very helpful when it comes to making your website compliant and this is a list of all the things that they will cover and in our plugin review write-up that is linked in the description of this video you will be able to see all of the individual plugins and individual policies and screenshots so the main features of this plug-in are the following you have your policies you have your cookie consent you have your affiliate agreements you have your pop-ups and you have a bunch of ended policies here that are created by experts that will make you legally compliant in those realms and of course you should always consult with a lawyer but this is a perfect place to get started if you have nothing this is much better than having nothing and it makes it easy for you to get a base template on stuff like that so gdpr compliance is probably the most used feature here but then also the CCPA is another one as you can see there's a guided wizard so you can just enter all of your information and the wizard will help you create the page so for $39 a year you get access to all of this and this is a similar service that is hosted on your WordPress website popular thing in the realm of website creation termly basically does this except it's software-as-a-service and it's pretty pricey so compared to the $39 per year that this plugin has and it's a per year because you are looking to offer you are you are looking for the support that comes with it you can choose to pay at one time and have your policies generated like that but this is ten dollars per month so $120 per year compared to $39 per year this is a better better alternative and it integrates better than termly with your website so let's hop into the backend and take a look at what it has to offer us so the first thing is before we get on to the area to verification and stuff like that this tool will take all of the information that you enter here and easily implement it into the policies that you're trying to generate so you enter all of your information and it includes everything from your address to your URLs to the disclosing party name to stuff like that toggle things on and off then you go ahead and create your individual legal pages so say we want to create our privacy policy it will go ahead and create the privacy policy from the information that we entered on the previous step and it can really be any policy that you need all you need to do is choose the template that you have and then it will create automatically from the information previously the page that you need you can also change the languages so you get French and German as well as English and then again you have a million different policies that you can have going ahead you have a cookie bar that you can set up and this cookie bar will pop up from the bottom of the website and I'll turn this on so when we go do our review it will show you what the cookie bar looks like it's a very simple and easy way to implement this cookie bar you can create your own templates and you can edit the existing ones and then this will also give you the short codes where you can just simply paste it into your WordPress page and these disclaimers will show up based on the shortcode that you pasted in so if you want a digital goods refund policy on a specific page you can easily just paste it in there and then you can go ahead and edit the actual policy itself and keep in mind that these policies are created by experts but if you need to add your own things you can do so there and as you can see it has the shortcode for the information that you enter in these settings above you can also create pop-ups so the specific pop-up would use the individual template and then you'd go ahead and create your pop-up and it would pop up and say do you agree to these terms to these services stuff like that this saves you the need of either custom coding a pop-up or using a plug-in to implement a pop-up a lot of pop-up plugins take up a lot of space on your website make your website load a bit slower and if you're not using something like Elementor you'll have to go ahead and get a $39 per your pop-up plugin so this is just something that really is thoughtful and it helps you save money age verification this is a really big feature that a lot of people are looking for so I wanted to go deep into this aspect of the plug-in and just go through everything you have here so if you are a company that deals with alcohol or any other controlled substance so there are a lot of marijuana websites that are showing up as marijuana becomes the you need to show a pop up age verification for compliance and to do this in the past you would previously need to get your own plug-in code your own pop-up and then go ahead and make sure everything works this includes that here where all you need to do is toggle on the verification and you can set it so it will have the age bracket age verification show for only guests or all visitors you can set the age that people need to be so they could be 21 18 anything you need and then you can even have them input their date of birth and if the date of birth doesn't match the age requirement they will be pushed away from the website you can also just do your yes/no buttons and then you can create your description so it will show you need to be at least 21 years of age and then it will say yes or no as your buttons and then you can also change it to input the date of birth so I'll change it to do that to show you how that works if it is an invalid age then it will say whatever you type in here and it's a pretty simple tool but this is really a thing that people want on websites this is becoming more in demand and I found that existing pop-up solutions don't really cut it the free plug-ins out there specifically for age verification could be a little bit better so if you're purchasing this plug-in to create your policies it comes with the age verification and honestly that makes it a pretty valuable plugin in my opinion especially for the price point that they're offering it at 39 bucks per year so for compliance 39 bucks a year I feel like that's a pretty good pricing cost all right so here's what the age verification looks like on the front end and I'm gonna reload this so it will show you the actual date of birth age verification the first one that I showed you was the the yes or no this is the the age verification and this is using the standard styling of the 2020 theme and as you can see it picks up the button styling but you may need to go ahead and this is CSS yourself but this is pretty simple and easy to do all you need to do is figure out the actual CSS style so you can just hop in here go ahead and it's very plainly labeled take this throw it into a CSS dialer and style it as you need so once you verify your age you enter here and because we set up the cookie bar we have our cookie bar down here and again you can style it with your CSS as well so it's a very basic plug-in that does a very basic task of creating legal pages but it's very fully featured and it offers a ton of special specific legal pages and legal page templates so if we want to go ahead and create our legal pages we can choose from a bunch of individual things and it's not just templates that are created by experts it's also age verification pop-ups and cookie bars so this is a really fully featured legal solution it offers all of these templates and we'll discuss this more in the full plugin write-up that we have linked below but this is just a great plugin for a specific task and if you need something a little more than the free plugin you'll have to go ahead and purchase the paid plugin this is a great plugin we use this on our agency websites very good value here so check it out there's a link in the description to
