hey everybody so we are back working for dirt perfect today i'm excited because this actually starts a vacation period for me i've got 13 days off so a lot of time to get a lot of stuff done we are going to take it cd500 we got to play equipment shuffle or truck shuffle real quick and then i'll show you what we're getting into by the way also trying out a new microphone today still kind of working out the bugs in the whole microphone game but i'm just trying to make improvements to the channels to keep you guys some good quality content coming that's all i know that is all i know at this point there's a package for mike that's a good place for it let's get this thing fired up first so we can start warming up it is a little chilly this morning about 40 degrees out that happened fast real fast real fast like nascar what in the heck are we oh it's a national anthem look at that so make sure we got this cleaned out so one thing i like you'll notice we got some double pencil action going on this is the old one which we'll still use but that's for the smaller trailer this is the bigger one for the newer trailer but uh the new one the bigger one has these little flanges on here it helps guide that panel hitch helps guide that ring in there the old one if you were off just barely shove the trailer left or right this one if you're off just a little bit it kind of centers it up see if i can get back in there and show you what i'm talking about [Music] also speaking of trying something new today we have a new implement if you want to call it that on the skid steer pretty excited to try out we've had one before but uh this is a new version of what we had or a different brand i guess you would say so we're gonna get that trying out today as well let's get this warmed up we're just going to put on the smooth face and take that with us and leave this here get you right on in there bud there we go yeah normally i would apologize for the glare but i am not apologizing for the beautiful sunshine there we go there we go oh that's perfect bud [Music] [Music] so we're working right over there and i'm going to throw up an info card in a little bit but this is a job that dirt perfect did not the barn but making that level spot and that's the barn they ended up putting there i can just swing in and grab it with the skid steer look at that ready to scoop up the stone and we'll just pull this around the back side and we'll be ready to get going all right so now we are officially oh just take the seat sensor out from underneath the seat and we'll just sit on it that way won't we will just sit on it that way like that it is ridiculous i don't know it's ridiculous but it sure is frustrating the machine you know man behind the scenes they're perfect in myself we are three different heights we are three different weights which means we are constantly messing with this seat sensor there we go shall we so some point i need to tell you exactly what we're doing we're taking clean stone and back filling that electric trench taking down these two pine trees between the house and the power line loading all the material and trucking it off that came out of that electric trench using the new ami ruckus rake that they're letting mic demo to finish up that front yard and top dressing all of it with new stone that feels good one down bud oh [Music] so [Applause] so [Music] so so [Music] so we got that first load hold off and i want a big full load but i knew we'd have to do two loads anyway so no reason to no reason to cram an overloaded truck when you got to make two anyway we're gonna throw the last little bit in here and then i think well i may put some stone in i don't know guys we're just making it up today one nice thing about this kubota is it does lift high enough to get over the side boards pretty well [Music] it does do that i will give it credit in that area great so [Music] [Music] it's [Music] [Music] so if you're wondering this is this is different than the power rake he had this is a ruckus rake ami ruckus rake yeah sent this down for mike to demo he's on job their day and he said he likes it better than the harley rake it's got a couple different features and as soon as i figure out how this contraption works let's see oh i see there we go bud there we go nope nope that was close now we go now we go anywho this is gonna be my first time using this model as opposed to this old one so on the old rake we used this joystick quite a bit but on this one everything is right here well let me just show you real quick we'll lift her up now if i hold this see my thumb over here look at that she's got power tilt how fancy is that and if i hold this look at that power angle how fancy is that on one of these passes i ended up breaking they have like a little cutting edge on each end of this this finish rake i hit a rock and broke one of those off and at the very very end of the video i'll go into pretty good depth about exactly why that broke and what its function is this part of the world there has been a quick addendum to the schedule and that is fine he's got a couple small long a couple small pine trees he wants taken out the only downfall is um they're right next to the power line and the cabin man i definitely don't have the right bucket for the job i've got the smooth face i didn't bring another bucket with me because um well i didn't know i'm gonna be taking out trees and that's okay the utilities are marked so it should be good there i think we may do a little delivery first just to make our job a little easier of course we know where the electric lines at don't we it's in this open trench it did fun all right just bail across that nothing fancy there all righty [Music] foreign quick tour there's some guy wires there of course the pine tree there and then there's this guy behind me i think there's a just secondary up there too you guys see the secondary i think this will work here though maybe i'll back up just a little further okay okey dokey all right no traffic gotta watch those power lines up there too gotta watch his uh side marker here too that so we got those trees down and uh normally i'd take the bucket and just backfill the buckets and then take the power where you can clean up on the top but this stuff's pretty clumpy you guys saw that you guys see this stuff's pretty clumpy there's quite a bit of rock and clay and it's just a mix of everything and i kinda just wanna play it that ruckus rake for a little bit so we're gonna try to use that to backfill [Music] this [Music] so so [Music] [Music] all right so we're going to try it in this corner and get a little close more close-up of it but this is what we have this stuff's hard really hard this is a rock hardness comparison hardness comparison that is a pretty technical experiment anyway we have this little pile left we're gonna put in this trench we're gonna see how well we can get it broken up before we get in that trench [Music] [Music] [Applause] been chewing up that rock pretty good not that i wanted to though so we're just gonna move a rock [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so the uh the truck is down i don't know what happened but something went haywire at the truck yesterday my truck not mike's truck and the subaru's missing half an engine we'll do a quick video on that in an upcoming video so we're down to the side by side this morning boys and girls so let's head to the job we're leaving the market grab some breakfast let's go get to work oh yes yeah you guys want to take a quick look at the river it's beautiful this morning look at that sun coming up through the fog over the ridges in kentucky beautiful yesterday we got that electric trench all polished up for the most part in backfield and uh we're gonna do a little bit more work on that electric trench this morning then we're gonna do a little bit of work on um around his barn form get some ramps built in and out of that new building we'll go over here grab the bucket real quick get all the rocks and stuff picked up out of the yard [Music] so [Music] [Music] all right take one more pass right in there i love that that front axle articulates or whatever you want to call it those wheels i love that they articulate like that so [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so here's everything turned out in the front we got those two trees out of there the trench back field that went to that pole right there that turned out really sharp got the parking area all cleaned up we got those uh we built up with 53 built those ramps up into his new building got this trench back filled all the way that's all shaped up real nice little entrance way there he's already got a seating straw ready to go for that front and we got the back sloped out nice for that door as well turned out pretty doggone good check out that view we've looked at a thousand times we'll look at a thousand more there's another down bound to coming around the corner let's take a closer look at what happened on this i told you earlier that we would so we're going to do it this is obviously the other side because it's still attached but it's the exact same thing on this side as the other side and the way this little tooth cutter whatever you want to call it is attached it has a cylinder there and one right there that matches it and then has this rod that goes down between it now let's walk around to the other side and show you what happened to it better look at it it's got one on bottom one on top and then this pin that holds that on now on the top it's got a keeper a little roll pin in there and on the bottom it does not have a keeper so when we hit that rock this was not in there it was up out of there which allowed it to bend and that piece to slide off now i don't know if that's on purpose if this is supposed to be a shear bolt kind of designed to where it doesn't tear up the machine i mean that was a pretty hard impact so it's probably better that this just bent and it fell off and this doesn't look like any kind of fancy material so maybe that's the design of it to try to protect the machine i'm not 100 sure on that that'll be up to dirt perfect to decide all in all it's not like it shut us down that's not a crucial part to the implement we're still able to get the job done just fine but just thought i'd show you a little bit better close-up of exactly what happened had that been down in there i don't think i obviously wouldn't have done that so i'm not 100 sure maybe we just need to get a different piece of rod put a keeper on both ends maybe a longer bolt and just put a bolt in there maybe like a grade five bolt to put in there and that way if we have a hard hit it'll just kind of sheer that off to protect the machine i'm not 100 sure to be honest with you no fancy outro on this one just a good old voice over i appreciate you guys watching i truly do catch you on the next one
