here in Windows 10 whenever you have a lot of folders to extract you probably know we can't just select them right-click and use the normal extraction method that's only going to extract that folder that I right clicked on but there is a free program that you can use to accomplish what we want and it's called 7-zip you can get it right here the link will be in the description below most people will want the 64-bit version but there is a 32-bit version as well so go ahead and download and install that now there is another program called win rare or WinRAR that we could use but it is a paid program so in that case with win rare we could extract files extract here extract each archive to separate folder but we are going to use the free 7-zip to accomplish the same thing so come to 7-zip and if I were to choose extract here that's going to extract all of those files to this directory which might be helpful if you have a lot of compressed folders of pictures for example so if I go extract here it's going to throw all of that right here my downloads folder as you can see right here right here and right here so that's not what we want in this case but again if you have a lot of pictures or something that can be useful in our case what we want to do is just select all of these right click any of them come up here to 7-zip and extract to slash that means new directory or new folders okay two separate folders so select that and it will run this process and there we go now we have each of our folders extracted into separate folders so you can go ahead and do whatever you want to with those extracted folders again it's called 7-zip and the link to download will be in the description below [Music]
