hello friends welcome back to another new video In this video I'll show you how you can check if your phone is infected by a malware like peagsus spyware using MVT that is mobile verification toolkit so let's get started First of all you should always refer to the documentation of any tool it provides every information you need for installing and using that tool so it's good idea to always refer to documentation Throughout this video I'll be refferring to this mvt documentation so that you know how to use these documentations open you terminal first have to install dependecies for this program since this is a python program we need to have pip installed in our system to install this toolkit and also adb to make connection with our phone intall pip and adb by typing sudo apt install python3-pip adb enter your password and python3-pip and adb will be installed in your system alternatively you can simply just copy and paste command from documentation like I'm on linux so I'll copy the command from dependencies on linux section and then paste it in terminal hit enter and this command will Install dependencies for mobile verification toolkit now that we've installed dependencies let's install toolkit using documentation according to documentation first we need to set path so just copy this command from installing mvt section and then paste it in your terminal like this now next command to install mvt is pip install mvt copy paste it too this command will download and install mvt in your system after it is completed if you'll type mvt-android you'll see all the arguments to use with mvt-android to check for malwares on android device same goes for mvt-ios after typing mvt-ios you'll see all the arguments to use with mvt-ios like if you got your ios backup you can check your itunes backup file using check-backup and then extract artifacts from it or to check full file system dump you can use check-fs but to create a full file system dump you need to jailbreak your device so I would recommend you to go with itunes backup if you're inspecting your phone just for educational purposes and there are some other commands to decrypt backups. right now I don't have any iTunes backup or ios device to demonstrate this to you so I apologize for that but I got my android device I'll show you how to do it on android in ios you have to create a itunes backup or full file system dump and then run checks on that backup using this toolkit just follow documentation now to check android device type mvt-android and now you have to turn on usb debugging in your android device for that go to your phone's settings and in about phone section click on your software version few times and developer options in your phone will be turned on in my phone it is already on as you can see it says...
