Austin sin and I'm just gonna walk you through a couple of kind of the bigger picture things about having not only a checking account but other bank accounts one of the big things is how do we make deposits well if you are like me I probably haven't been into a bank in over a year I think the last time I went into the bank was to refinance a car loan most of my deposits I I make those remotely using my my credit union or banks mobile app and you can do that remote capture take a picture of the front and back of the check and submit that digitally however if you are gonna go into the bank or credit union and make a deposit you're gonna have to be comfortable with a deposit slip or deposit ticket which I'm showing you here basic parts obviously you're gonna put on the date that you're making your deposit you're gonna put on your name you're gonna put in your account number the signature portion the signature portion is only necessary if you are taking cash back a lot of times these deposit slips will have a little thing underneath there that says signature if cash received meaning it's just putting money into your account there's no need for you to sign it over on the right hand side is where we're gonna detail what it is we are going to be depositing first thing that's typically listed is currency so we're gonna say how much do we have in in cash or coin that we want to be depositing and you can kind of real quickly see how they use this line here as the decimal point to separate dollars from cents so we've got in this instance we've got 25 dollars 75 cents in currency going in checks for the checks section you're gonna notice we have a number of spots to write checks in you might have more than one maybe it's your birthday or a graduation party and you've got a number okay now just on a side note if you look at your back deposit ticket I could almost guarantee that if you flip it over there's gonna be more lines on the back to add more checks if you need to okay so if you've added upon let's say you're depositing after your graduation party and you got you know twenty some checks obviously we can't fit 20 checks on here but on the back of these slips there's gonna be more lines okay so we've got currency in check now we're just gonna do a subtotal okay so we've got we're gonna do some math 25 plus 150 plus 100 we've got a dollar total over here so we've got a subtotal of 276 even for this example we're gonna take 25 dollars cash with us okay so that's going to reduce the amount...
