welcome to border connects tutorial on creating new shippers and consignees in ACI this tutorial assumes that you currently have an active software subscription if you were not set up with an account please contact border connect to get you set up to start we will assume that all of the AC ie manifest trip information has already been entered as well as the cargo control number which brings us to the start new ACI shipment page from here you will enter the city or town the shipper is located in in the city of loading field to assign a city of loading type in the name of the city or town and select the corresponding city after that navigate to the top left and click the button save and you will arrive at the ACI shipment details page to create a new shipper click the button create shipper so you can manually enter the shipper information in the first field name you will type in the name of the shipper the next field is the address of the shipper be sure to type in the full street address of the shipper and after the address has been entered type in the name of the city or town the shipper is located below the city field use the drop down menu next to state province and select the state from the list provided next enter the zip code of the shipper in the field postal zip code once you've entered all the required fields of the shipper you have the option to enter a phone number as well as comments about the particular shipper however these fields are not required so once you are complete click Save on the top left hand side of the page you will now be brought back to the ACI shipment details page where we will move on and create a consigning for the shipment to do this click the button create consigning once in the add new consigning page you will see the same fields as we did in the add new shipper page only this time we are entering the consigning information the first field is the name of the consigning so type in the name of the consigning once completed move on to the address and here you will type in the full street address of the consigning and below in the field city type in the name of the city or town the consigning is located to assign a province or state select the proper state or province using the drop-down menu provided now it's time to enter the postal code of the consigning in the postal code zip code field once all of the required fields have been entered you have the option here as well to enter the consignees contact phone number as well as comments on this particular consigning but since these fields are optional you will move on and click the button save on the top left hand side of the page where it will take you back to the ACI shipment details page you can now see that the shipper and consigning information has been entered to the shipment and you can also now quick assign the shipper and consign e in future shipments this concludes the tutorial on creating new shippers and consignees in ACI I hope this tutorial helped you and if you have any questions or concerns please contact border connect you
