[Music] hey guys so this is what the jeepney looks like now they have these little uh borders so you don't come in contact with a person that's my first time to jeep me since i started doing this but we are on our way to linda's yeah which is uh arnie's mother so we're taking a jimmy today and that's probably the cheapest way to get around this was nine pesos each so and then after that richie's leaving yeah she's going to toledo for the night to pick up a few things that you know we only thought were going to be here for like a week yeah and then um yeah so richie's going to leave for a night and then come back tomorrow so uh i guess we'll just go from there but we're going to go to linda's now and we're going to see you see you when we get there all right okay so it's time to stop there's ding this on the metal here ah all right so this is exactly where we got off when we were with dulce and this is where we got her uh her cooler this is the same store and last time we took the other bus it was just like the yellow one and the yellow one was 11 pesos the jeepney was nine pesos wow look at this we gotta walk through there yeah i guess so right now we're going to linda's we're not exact we've never been there before so uh we're going to figure it out we're going to try to walk through here without getting wet all right it's a nice rainy day it's not the best day to be walking around so this is a very cool walking area too bad it's not open but uh you can pretty much walk all the way around it looks like they're doing some repair work making it look even nicer but lots of different kind of plants and it's a big open area so unfortunately it's not open today but um maybe later on it will be but you can go in there there's lots of benches you can sit down you can probably do some jogging walking exercise salamat alright so in the background that's fort san pedro which is very cool area um i've been there before i've never made a video of it but that's in the background you can see the wall and it's closed because of covid and also this whole walking area is closed as well and that's really too bad because i really i didn't know i didn't realize we're in this area but now that we're walking past it um i was going to walk in there today but we cannot but probably when it's okay to travel if you guys ever come back here and want to visit philippines area in cebu definitely check out fort san pedro the very cool area and then the walking area lots of many places you can walk and uh kind of explore get some fresh air within the city because in the city you know lots of buildings lots of traffic you go in here it's like your own little getaway little piece area all right we're gonna walk to um linda's house now [Music] all right guys so we just made it to linda's house um i'm gonna start down here i just finished using the cr so i'll just kind of start here we came from that way and then we're gonna go this way and this is like the entrance to their house you have to watch your head here oh no all right time for alcohol for our hands wanna give me some no more no more i call her madam thank you all right so safety first we got our alcohol and then i'm gonna start here and i'll give you a little walk around the house this is the entrance walking in what's in here just uh um other room another room yeah for oh someone else stays here yeah and no one stands there right now okay just in case someone else wants to run so this is a vacant room and just in case someone else wants to rent this area they will rent this area so this is like the common space i'm guessing if someone else rents this is where you can cook this is where you can do other things drink coffee and then this is their room now let's do a quick little around so you can see um i can pretty much you can put your arms like this and that's about the size of the room i like five by seven maybe all right so i'm gonna find a good place for this camera and we'll just talk to linda for a little bit uh all right hey everybody hopefully you can see richie and linda and everybody and this is geo right yeah all right and then your husband is the one that met us he's downstairs right okay something he's getting something okay so i guess we're gonna start the video off with some good news we have a gift for you other than krispy kreme we brought him some krispy kreme yeah donuts bomb we have a gift from paul so this is from paul you only gets you 3 500. and for others if you haven't seen my other videos this is arnie's mother yeah so we're in cebu city and she wasn't too far away from us and uh paul gave this to us to give to her and um when she came to province but she doesn't come to the prop she only comes to providence like when she doesn't have work yeah but here's three thousand five he just came back from princeton from christian yeah yeah so yeah baptized all right so geo just got baptized in some um and richie and i were until we are on cebu so we didn't get a chance to see that but linda this is arne's mother so maybe we can talk to you a little bit to get to know you and richie will help us translate so um you um had arnie and sam and then your husband passed away yeah so uh then how soon after that did you move to uh simba city she's working here in civil liberties so pretty much as soon as she was barney was born yeah she moved here yeah okay so um linda used to have a job in san juan she got a little bit of money when her husband died and she's tried to start a small business selling clothes yeah clothes okay clothes and fabrics and things like that so she tried to do that for a little bit and um it doesn't really work out it's hard in seminars because there's not a lot of customers i'm not hungry i'm fine i'm okay but um then they tried that and then so she wasn't able to earn any more money along with the baby so it was very difficult so she decided to move to cebu city to work and then give money to arnie to support her that way yeah so she's in there she's been here in cebu city for 11 years and you became a security guard right when you moved here uh first work first job housemate housemate okay so when she first came here she's a housemate her husband's boss okay so that was her husband's boss and then she started being a hospital to them and then soon after that he became a security guard and you're still securing guard now not now that wasn't she at the baby she had to stop but that was your job before so those of you that don't know aren't his mother that's kind of the situation and she does um visit arnie whenever she has days off and she sends money all the time for arnie for her school that's the main reason why she came to cebu city was to support arnie so um all the money she was making she would help army schooling and things like that and then she decided to bring arnie here and arnie doesn't want to leave lola yeah because she grew grow up there and she doesn't want to come here okay so arnie is pretty much a province girl so that's all she knows and linda didn't want her to live here but you know arnie grew up her whole life in the province and um she decided not to she'd rather live in this province last time this is um she ran another place before geo and arnie visiting okay so how how often would arnie come here and visit maybe once a month like that okay like that yeah that was like years ago years ago like five years ago or yeah okay so before arne would come a visit often it sounds like and then linda is also the mother of richard rr yeah and they have a motorbike in san juan and linda actually got the motorbike for them and they use that to get back and forth richard use it for work right yeah so they use it all the time for work so linda got that motorbike for him that's useful for me when i went to college when they got the motorbike now that time i started to ride by and don't walk anymore that's awesome that's a big convenience and as to make her happy because he needs to drive me all the way there so i will i fake him monthly or sometimes within days all right and even with that you probably saved a lot of money from buying the jeepneys the tricycles because those are expensive those traffickals really add up i remember a few times we had to go from the mall back and i was like over like 300 or 250 or something so uh that saves a lot of money when you have your own bike so right now they're renting here and how much a month is so for one month every month it's 3 500 including electricity [Music] if you have ref you need to pay this okay you pay extra extra but you you get water waters for a year for taking a bath for washing yeah like for drinking you need to need to pay okay so that's for washing the water and then the water that you drink you still don't need to buy but three thousand five hundred that's what she got today so i faced for the whole month yeah thank you paul thank you that's pretty cool and like the filipino tradition they're getting food prepared for us and drinks and why not that's some favorite what's that barbecue barbecue yes that is one of my favorites so it's just like anywhere the province is no different than the city uh the hospitality of filipinos is just amazing when you go to someone's home they feed you um thank you guys oh you're very welcome you're very welcome and look at this these are just like pancakes they call them hot cakes which we call hot cakes too and also pancakes look at that that's delicious they're still warm too bad we didn't have any uh honey honey on this would be perfect um foreign all right if you haven't had a hot cake in the philosophy before it's very similar to the pancakes back in michigan or back in the united states or you know other countries it looks just like a pancake or a hot cake and it has um like sugar on it so there is some sugar on it but i can't say no you don't need to buy anything else this is perfect yeah okay rock yeah and it really is delicious like you don't need syrup honey with this because it's so moist they probably put margarine on it [Music] is away told her that she misses us like she missed fighting with daniel when we are just neighbor before but now but our knee is still busy before we're so close that we saw every day [Music] so here's another room here it's right across where linda is staying and this room is 1 500. linda's husband's son is actually staying here so enough room for a bed and you know a few other things so that's like you know the cost if you're looking for a place like this you know 1 500 if these are probably harder to find like i'm not sure how you would go about finding a place like this yeah you probably once you get here if someone is interested in you know 1 500. um you know if all you need is a place to sleep uh you probably once you get here you can ask around locally so this one is you can say because it's monthly monthly yeah there's no like contract so if you decide to leave next month you can pay one month and leave there's like no you know breaking the contract or anything like that i tried like this when i was working as a sales lady um it's like double bed okay for four people inside and how much did you pay same like one i know mine was cheaper before it's 800 a month 800 a month okay then you will pay for the excess like um if you have rice cooker if you have other like electricity okay so i guess we're going to take off linda it's really nice seeing you and bye-bye you're very welcome and um i guess richie's actually about to take off yeah i will go home richie's going home just for the night yeah we didn't know we're going to stay this long yeah it was only supposed to be like maybe a week or two suddenly almost a month yeah and then i'll probably even stay longer yeah so i need to get my things and come back yeah so this is not something that you know is quick so uh it is going to take a long process mom i enjoy the city i enjoy the province i enjoy anywhere i am it looks good so it doesn't really matter yeah you like my purse i think this is the safest spot to put it around your neck um so i guess that's up today we might walk to the centennial church we brought our we brought my um pass my quarantine pass so we're hoping we can get in there if i just recognize something uh that's part of the yeah to keep people out that's the broken glass that we saw on the previous video we see that very often we're gonna get our things and we're gonna walk out and we'll probably see you at the church hopefully we can get in i'm gonna try and um antelinda i look like her now some people said i look like her and they her daughter older daughter look looks like my mom so you have one more daughter mindanao okay the one who commented our live stream before okay yes yes yes and old her older um daughter they said looks like my mom and i look like her all right i can see that nose she has alone [Laughter] i can see it you both have very nice smiles in our eyes in your eyes [Music] all right so we made it in so right now to get in to santo nino you need a quarantine pass or some kind of company id but you can see once you're inside you can light a candle for some reason you can't light a candle outside but inside you can see there's people adding candles and then eventually we'll walk over there we'll walk over here first oh yeah there's a police right over there and it's funny because everyone was standing here and no one was moving because you know jay walking get a ticket for that so everyone was waiting for the light to take down she almost went across i think yeah we're just talking about the jeepneys the jeepneys you can't just jump on any jeepney they actually each go on two different destinations yeah like they have numbers on them so if you're in the area and you do want to take the gm's for cheap transportation yeah try to learn the numbers and there's usually like something written too like yeah collins street to something street on the side of the yeah the numbers along with the place so don't just jump on and cheat me because i've done that before i jumped on jimmy but i got so lost i thought it was gonna take me to where i needed to go but it didn't but it's raining today so it's probably a good day for richie to go back because we won't be doing much anyway but she's going to go let me come back tomorrow so it's just going to be a one quick day one quick day there's a song for them one sweet day once we do be careful so we're gonna try to make it we're trying to choose a way where there's covering oh yeah so we're trying to be covered for the rain oh she's gonna take the g or the bus okay one phantom what do you say and then the o is very very creative whoever does that whatever design that uh poster needs to raise so we're getting close we're almost by imon do you know what emo stands for elizabeth oh you know i looked at google maps so i knew that earlier it's very loud usually when you walk around they're so the music is so loud those are speakers they don't do it so much anymore i noticed maybe because the whole cover thing but before covered every single corner like every five feet it'd be blasting music well here we are at the email yeah so we're there already yeah and then we're gonna go to the bus terminal and then richie's gonna leave me and i'm gonna go home and cry all right so we're at the bus station richie's gonna take off for the night and get yeah and serious one and series so i'll choose serious so what's the difference seriously okay okay more convenient and they don't ride very fast no right sometimes but i'm not saying all but sometimes if regular bus they will have a race yeah they have you ever seen the the smaller buses go in and out of traffic and these are a little more slow and safe but today being rainy i think that's a good so that i can choice a seat all right we'll miss richie uh but she'll be back tomorrow so we'll see you tomorrow all right so i'm probably just going to go back and rest for the rest today there's not really much to do when it's raining like this should be back tomorrow so i'm not sure what the plan is tomorrow take care god bless and we'll see you guys tomorrow you
