hey this is a quick tutorial that's going to show you how to create your own custom signature even if you don't know cursive writing for most of us unless we're consistently signing important paperwork or checks the need to sign our name on paper is being used less and less these days especially when many digital signatures don't actually need your written name on screen it's verified using text and a captcha such as paying a credit card bill online for the times when it is necessary to hand sign it would be good to at least know that much for this video i'm using my huion canvas 13 drawing tablet of course a few pieces of printer paper would work just fine basically i know the style i'm shooting for already but if you were unsure about each letter of your name referencing google would be a good place to start from there it's just going to be a matter of practicing but for this video it's not going to be necessary okay i'm going to start by writing the first letter of my first name using a couple variations until i see a design i like and then try to build some muscle memory by replicating that style [Music] next i'll do the same thing with the first letter of my last name the r when i'm done with that i'm going to practice writing my full name getting a feel for the pin and experimenting with different scribbles i say scribbles because in most situations as long as the first letter of your first and last name stand out the rest of it doesn't necessarily have to be legible consistency is going to be important because you don't want your signature to change every few weeks right now i don't care about proportions or readability i'm focusing mostly on being consistent with the style i've chosen while keeping emphasis on the d and r this might change later on but i'll keep practicing until it comes naturally without thinking so if you are someone that was never taught cursive writing or just wanted a custom signature hopefully this will get you going in the right direction if you found this helpful be sure to check out my tutorials playlist and consider subscribing for more videos like this [Music] you
