hello in this video I want to show you how candy how you can do batch zipping and if you aren't sure what batch living is it's basically where you tell your computer you want to batch a whole bunch of different batches if a whole bunch of different folders and you want the computer to do it automatically so if you have like a list of folders and each folder has their own files and you want to create a separate zip file for each folder automatically this is a way so you can do that first thing you need to do is download a program called 7-zip it is a freeware it's open source you can find the link to download that program and in the description of this video and just so you know none of the links in my description has any of those advertisements or junk like that you have to look at it just takes you directly to it once you download and install 7-zip there's two other links in the description for two separate batch files and these batch files are basically set of instructions that tell 7-zip what to do and you only need one of the batch files but it depends on what format you want to save your zip files in because 7-zip you can save your folder you can save your zip files or compress voters however you want to put it in multiple formats the two most popular formats are dot 7z and dot CIP and most people use the CIP I actually prefer zi P but either way both of those batch files are in the links to both of those batch files are in the description this video once you have 7-zip installed go ahead and download those two batch files and then put them in whichever folder has the folders that you want to zip like in this case I want to create a separate zip file for this folder this folder this voter this folder this voter this folder this folder and this folder all the way down to 51 I could do that individually you know right click 7-zip add to archive okay I could do that for each individual one but that would be time-consuming especially if I had hundreds of folders that I want to make a zip file out of but this allows you to do it sequentially and automatically let your computer do all the work like so once you have 7-zip installed download those two batch files stick it in whatever folder you want and all you have to do to activate it is that double-click on one of these batch files the to batch files I have here one is seven is the 7z extension and the other ones is EIP extension I want to save my compressed folders in the standard VIP extension so all I need to do is double click and then you can see the computer going through and creating an individual zip file for each individual folder and when you're not like in this situation right now I'm running a script that screen capture software to capture this video to make this video so this is running a little bit slow it will actually run about three maybe four times faster without running this screen capture program so it seems a little slow but it actually isn't that slow it just seems like it because good computer's having to record the screen right now but it will go through and create h each one of these set files automatically and as you can see I mean I'm already up to the tenth one but that's pretty much it if you have any questions about how to use this if I didn't explain myself I work very well because I am honest I don't I do not explain myself very well sometimes but if you have any questions just leave a comment below and I will try to answer your question I guess that's about it thanks for watching you you
