hey there guys thanks for tuning back in and stand strong with excel vba is fun we had a question from a principal of a school and he said hey I've been watching your videos and I want to know some of the people who fill out my forms some of the teachers who fill out the forms like if they click on this checkbox for certain let's say one of the the sheets on this workbook they wanted to be able to have a text box pop up over here so they can add notes specifically to only to the ones that they checked on so while I'm not going to do a billion of these because they'll take this would take a lot of setup if you're going to do it in a worksheet for man you're not going to do it in a user form the easiest thing that I would suggest to do is what we're going to do is let's grab a small section here I'm going to go to the developers tab and since it is a worksheet thing and not so much a user form thing I would put a text box where's the dang text button here it is I would put a text box under the excuse me under the ActiveX controls and I just deselected it whoops so let's just do the hmm or is the accommodation section let's just do under special considerations for occupational therapy let's say if somebody selected that one I would want this text box to appear and if it was deselected of course I'd want it to disappear so let's give this text box a name we're going to click on it we're going to go to the name box we're going to say TB awk therapy enter okay so that one's called TB awk therapy see there okay so what I want to do with this is see can i this is a oh that's a check box that is not an activex check box must be a form control one because if it was an ActiveX I imagine we could double-click an ADD code which is what I would recommend the other ones you have to create a macro and then you have to right-click and assign the macro to that button it's an extra step I prefer to write the code within the check box itself so I'm just going to show you that method and you know if you hate it that's fine but this is the the way I would resolve that issue right click excuse me right click properties we've got to take off the word check box one here because you want to use a clear one and in fact one could just put the word Occupational Therapy within the text of the check box so they could do this the caption is actually occupational therapy okay so I'll close that yeah but then you get into...
