i took one for the team okay so i went and i re-applied we'll try to reapply she just wants to be heard hey guys christine here with mccarter mom blogs so today i just wanted to do a quick update for you guys i know a lot of people are very concerned the bill passed so we already know that president trump was going for the two thousand dollars um he wanted congress to agree to the 2000 unfortunately it never made it to the table to be voted on because well you already know um mitch mcconnell made sure that uh it didn't make it to the floor so that they could have a vote and then if you haven't been following then also josh holly who is um a republican he even spoke and said that he agreed with the two thousand dollars and that if it did actually um make it to the floor to pass on a vote that he was confident that the majority would have voted on 2000 so i don't want to actually get into all the politics of the 2000 the versus the 600 or whatever okay so some people have already been seeing the 600 dollars going into their account many may have not but hopefully you are getting at least you know something that's 600 if you have dependents you know your children then you will get of course more for them and that actually will help because right now we don't know when they will start reinstating our payments okay so just because the bill passed and the president signed we are still waiting for them to get guidance from you know the government what um needs to be in there and i don't know dotting their eyes and crossing their t's so as of right now i know most of yous are having the same issue so like you guys i today is sunday and i said okay i'm gonna try to see if i can file for my benefits now honestly speaking i didn't think that i would be able to file because i knew that they hadn't already put everything in you know in place yet right so i knew we were gonna have to wait let's go over the first thing okay which is that red alert that um i was asked to do a video regarding this red alert okay so when you go on and you open up your pua portal you go on your dashboard immediately you know that you see an explanation point there right with that red kind of triangle that's your alert and then at the top you see in a red background with white lettering let me i have to put my glasses over this so on 12 27 2020 a federal cover 19 relief package was signed into law the pa department of labor and industry is reviewing the new unemployment provisions and awaiting guidance from the u.s department of labor outlining how the cares act program extensions must be implemented the date of your initial application will determine which action you must take so now they say hey you opened up a new pua claim in 2020 prior to 12 27 2020. do not take any action at this time department labor and industry will let you know when you should resume filing your weekly benefit certifications and then b you have never had a pua claim and have now opened or planned to open a new pua claim 12 27 2020 or later you may complete the application to have a pua claim and must begin filing your weekly certifications for benefits no payments will be released until the department receives federal guidance and fully implemented so let's just discuss a if you're a little confused it just means that if you already were receiving benefits right before december 27th that you don't have to do anything right and then for b it's just if you just started opening up a claim as of december 27 then you do have to go through the whole procedure and the application process and you know start filing your claims because now they have to be able to track your filing benefits right for those of us who have already had our pua claim open and we're receiving benefits we're not supposed to take any action because they already know that we're just waiting and they know how much they actually gave us which was december 26 was that last week of pay okay so i get mine on wednesday so last wednesday was the last payment that i received so those of you who have been following me from the beginning know that i don't like to look at things negatively because i know that this is the first time we are going through something like this so we can't really blame the department of labor for all these different issues that they have encountered the thing that i'm a little confused about is okay many of us have filed for back date right that's the whole reason why i started this playlist and basically my channel was taken over by um all the things that just been going on with you know pua the thing that's confusing about that is okay i had money still on my um claim so that i imagine that's all wiped out so i guess it just starts all over but yeah i had about i guess 975 or something like that still available on my claim what would have been helpful if you had money still left on your claim you should have been able to you know they should have put something in place where you still could have received that money until they figured all of this out you know because now it's almost like okay that money just it disappeared and now they're gonna start from scratch right so those who had already exhausted um their benefits whether they went and they got that extension for the 13 weeks or what have you or they had regular and then they had to go to p u e u c i think it's called and then that was the extra 13 weeks or whatever so they want you know they got all of uh that money but then again those who still had money on their um claim they were not able to uh continue to get those benefits so that just disappeared and i imagine they're not going to retroactive that money that was still on your account okay so let me just tell you okay um even though it says that you were not supposed to take any action if you already had a pua claim open from 2027 2020 i'm just going to let you guys know that i did not listen okay and i took one for the team okay so i went and i re applied well tried to reapply and let me tell you the reasonings why even though i try to keep an open mind and i try to be considerate towards their efforts addressing the the issue at hand so 1 am this morning i decided that i was going to try to see if i can file my weekly claim right or to see if anything had changed i'm sure most of us have been doing that right we're trying to figure out what's going to happen so as you can see nothing really changed i still have the one unemployment insurance claims regular act of that one open issue right that i was concerned about in the beginning and so that one open issue if those of you who haven't been following my channel are not new to the channel i'll link the video here so the one open issue was the fact that they said that i may be eligible for regular unemployment so here i decide to go and follow claim and as you can see where it says file for weekly benefits it's kind of um faded because that's i had clicked on it when i took the screenshot so that's the reason why it's kind of faded in gray so i clicked on it and once i clicked on it this is what opens up like i'm pretty sure most of you have seen so as you can see it says you cannot file your weekly certification against this claim as your dua claim has been terminated cancelled or withdrawn so then it just tells you currently you do not have an unemployment insurance claim filed on the system click the link below to begin filing a claim so let me just tell you that i clicked on there to file the claim now you would think that it's going to allow you at the end of this whole process to file a claim right because it said that it be writing that read alert that you would be able to file a new application and i'm just going to show you really quickly the whole procedure you guys are probably aware of this because when you had to apply this is what you had to go through right so i clicked on file the claim and then it just starts you know bringing you through the whole steps here's the claim and eligibility you keep clicking next and you just kind of click through it and it just you know claim it eligibility you click next there is welcome to pennsylvania uh pandemic unemployment assistance portal and it just goes over what who would all be covered right and who was not covered so as you can see here in this this screenshot it just goes over that and then um here is just a little bit i couldn't fit on the whole page but these are the ones that are not covered so if you're an individual that can telework with pay you're not eligible to file individuals receiving sick pay leave or other paid leave benefits regardless of meeting a category listen above they also would not be covered so there's just basically two um situations where you would not be covered and you can't file for pua so then it just continues you know to walk you through it's almost like it's allowing you to start a new claim so i just following the steps right hoping that okay well i'll just open a new claim i mean what's the difference what would honestly be the difference whether i open up a new claim um or just wait until they figure out what they're gonna figure out and who knows if they're gonna figure it out that's actually my concern because since i've been in limbo since september i'm still like a little concerned especially when i speak to representatives and they're like oh we don't have anything in the notes that someone contact you or whatever so it's like okay well then so that person who sent me the email what happened they never said okay i got your proof you know that your your job closed i'm gonna be releasing releasing your money and giving you your request for back day and keep in mind they did not in that list they did not ask me for any other proof because on my my employment history is there with my months and my job and all that so i was like okay well i imagine that's why they're not asking for proof because when i originally found my claim all that had came up anyways i didn't have to fill out where i worked and all that they already knew so i said okay you know what i'm gonna i don't want to have them say anything or delay anything so i uploaded everything my license my birth certificate my social security card everything that you would think um they could ask for right um still i'm still waiting we're in the first of the year no back date money and you know what it that would have been helpful while they're waiting to figure things out they could have gave me my back date money and who knows are they gonna make us request for the back date again like i don't i don't get it now because if your claim is erased right so now it's basically you're filing new again for the new year because that whole money from that the last karazak plan is done what does that mean about the request for the back date you know what i'm saying like if you didn't receive the money from that that um cares that i don't i don't know like honestly i'm gonna call monday and i'm gonna find out what's gonna happen with that request you have to request again like i don't know anyway so getting back to it so you know you would just if you want you could put a profile picture i didn't have one before i decided you know what what the heck let me just uh put a profile picture and then you know it just takes you through the whole steps what's your login name going to be your password your security question and you know and a pin that you have to come up with then again your address you know they're asking you all these questions how do you want to be uh contacted and notified about your claim i chose email again right that's already what i had on file okay so now keep in mind once i'm going through this whole process everything is still filled out for me i didn't it's not like i had to go in and type everything it was all still there you know so you just continue to go next next next asks you about your dependents you have them whatever i say no because my husband files for the kids so he files for me and the kid you may have to say if you're the one that files for your children and um you're single you know you're not legally married and you don't file jointly then um you might have to say yes you have dependents and then put all that information then you just keep going it'll add to you know if you're a female male if you don't want to answer then you don't have to your date of birth and like i said everything was just all filled out you don't have a disability or you do you just put it your your education your job occupation whatever it is that you were doing before military service ethnic origin all right so it didn't let me file the claim and then when i went back on to check now i'm at zero unemployment insurance claim okay so that's the thing we really don't know i imagine since i already had a claim it didn't take me to be able to start my weekly claims okay like it stated in um the red alert notice okay number b where it says if you've never filed since 12 27 2020 then you would start a new application so i'm pretty sure that is the
