hello everyone my name is wonkey Roberto Garcia and I'm going to be presenting on human resource development of employees in nonprofit organizations this is the agenda for this presentation and we're going to go over the types of resources the definition of human resources the development of human resources and the role of leaders in this development we're also going to discuss coaching as an intervention develop employees in nonprofits also the strengths and weaknesses of coaching an example of a nonprofit organization that uses coaching to develop use employees and then though - we're going to go over the discussion questions at the end okay it's a really quick an overview on the type of resources that that organizations have the first one of course the physical assets the physical resources machines materials facilities equipment these physical resource are important to the health organizations because it provides civility and strength okay these are so resources that you can actually see you can actually touch the second one is financial resources we're talking about stocks cash bonds investments operating capital and it also reflects the financial stability the more you have the better and then the last one is human human resources refers to the people employed by an organization okay and this is the one that we're going to focus on on this presentation what is human resources and what a definition and what we talk about human resources as when we talk about the value of what people provides to an organization we're talking about their skills we're talking about their knowledge we're talking about all the competencies that they that they provide to the organization that create an organizational value a lot of these times this type of intangible assets are usually overlooked by leaders of the organization there's a little high custom replacement because because it is expense it's really expensive to recruit this request to hire is really expensive to reallocate because you notice productivity then you have to we train and you have to do orientation for new employees again these intangible assets are usually not seen these are assets that you know if you apply correctly it increased productivity and efficiency for a specific organization Human Resources for for nonprofits they usually compose 70 to 80 percent of the budget allocated in nonprofits usually 7 or 80 percent goes to their salaries and so far the the capabilities of human capital is is is a significant aspect of a nonprofit organization even more important sometimes that than the physical assets the degree of utilization of these resources is critical for the success of organizations why is human resources so important for nonprofits in indifference with profit organizations the people that work in nonprofits are people are are engaged with the organizational mission ok they're motivated to work there usually people work for nonprofit organizations are deeply committed to the mission of the organization they are also hardworking they also service-oriented and these...
