How do seomoz, ravenseo, ahrefs.com, majesticseo and other seo software compare?
It sounds like you have two very different requirements here, link analysis and rank tracking. If you plan to build up a customised solution, then Authority labs (http://authoritylabs.com/) is great for rank tracking. It's actually what Raven has built its rank tracking platform from. Majestic and ahrefs are both excellent for link analysis. Majestic has BY FAR the largest link map that is commercially available, so if you want all the data available, go for that. I personally prefer ahrefs though, because even though it is smaller (for now) in terms of its database size, I feel (from experience) that the data provided is both more accurate and more actionable in terms of the insights it provides.SEOMoz and Raven are pretty much stand-alone solutions that will cover almost all of your needs regarding SEO. At my agency, we use Raven, but that's more a preference than anything else. Raven pulls in APIs for pretty much everything out there, from links, social stuff and competitor research to rank tracking and customisable reporting. The reporting, actually, is great, as it can be set to send a customised pdf to a bunch of email addresses on whatever schedule you like. SEOMoz is one of the best known software solutions available, and is pretty damn awesome in terms of features. Everything is built in-house, rather than being API-reliant like Raven, and it's all made by people who really, really know a lot about SEO. The community is equally fantastic and is constantly adding and creating its own customised features/programs that use SEOMoz data in funky ways. Another tool you might want to look into is SearchMetrics, which monitors millions of keywords constantly, and provides a lot of great data for research and analysis. Lastly, Michael King, and a lot of others have recommended a platform called STAT (http://getstat.com/). I've not yet tried it myself, but it does look pretty impressive. To be honest, there is no real "best" tool out there. I personally use all of the ones I've mentioned in one way or another. Everything has its own strengths and weaknesses. I would recommend signing up to several of them and seeing what you like/don't like about them. They all offer free trials/demos/lite versions that you can play around with, then just stick to what you like best. That said, if you really must pick only one or two, I'd go with Raven, backed up by ahrefs. :o)

What is the process to get Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for Canada PR from WES?
For everyone asking questions on WES. Steps for WES ECA evaluation for Canada Immigration purpose, important points and some more info.(a lot of info, so going to be a long post) Before you start just check following things: 1. Website: World Education Services Canada: International Credential Evaluation [ https://www.wes.org/ca/ ] Please please go through the website and make yourself familiar with navigation. You will get most of your answers there. Don't start asking questions before going through information posted on website. Its for your own good to get first hand information before listening to other people. ***Always make sure you are on Canada website not USA one. you can see that on top right corner of Website where a flag is listed with country name or in website address with "/ca" listed in address.*** 2. Degree equivalency tool Degree Equivalency Tool [ https://applications.wes.org/ca/degree-equivalency-tool/ ] WES has free tool to check equivalency of your degree to Canadian degree. Don't rely completely on this as the final assessment always depends on the actual evaluation but it will give you an idea and a head start. If your degree is not listed there it doesn't mean it wont be equivalent to anything, you will get to know that in real assessment. ***If you are not sure after using the tool, if your degree/college will be valid for ECA through WES try to email/ WES to check or ask if anyone had same degree evaluated before. That might help you little bit in the case where your degree/ college is not valid and save you some money, you can check other designated organizations for your ECA then.*** 3. Required Documents Required Documents - World Education Services [ https://www.wes.org/ca/required-documents/ ] Check what documents you need for your evaluation here. If you don't have those in hand just start collecting those. Get your transcripts from your university or any other document listed as per your education. You can also ask your university if they can mail your transcripts directly to WES, you can use "Academic records request form" given on website for this. Check if your University needs their own form filled too for releasing your documents.(do this after you get your WES reference number as you will need that in case you are giving the address of WES to university for mailing your transcripts, In case you are taking your transcripts yourself for mailing, you can get reference number later too). ***Make sure your transcripts are valid. Transcripts must show: all subjects taken, grades received for each subject, and for each year you were in the program. Semester wise transcripts are not valid for evaluation. Transcripts should be sealed and signed with a stamp from university.*** ***If your University does not give subject-wise Transcript, Ask if you can get all your mark sheets attested from University, and they will sign and stamp all photocopies and put them in one envelope and seal them with stamp like transcripts. That is mostly called document verification in University.*** 4. Check how will you pay your fees. Credit card/ Money order/ Western Union or in case any other option listed in instructions. Check it out. Fee is approximately $225-$230(including taxes) in Canadian currency. Rest depends on what additional services you chose for delivery etc. Cheapest courier option is $7. ECA - World Education Services [ https://www.wes.org/ca/evaluations-and-fees/eca/ ] Next steps: 1. Create a WES account. World Education Services Canada: International Credential Evaluation [ https://www.wes.org/ca/#get-started ] Click "Apply now", then click on "Canada", Then "ECA application for IRCC" and proceed with further steps. ***Make sure you choose ECA application for IRCC not the other option.*** Fill up your details in all pages very carefully and correctly. You will have to provide a recipient address, give your address there. When you will proceed it will automatically generate "Recipient 2" as IRCC. Don't worry about that one, it is used for electronic delivery of your records to IRCC when you put your WES report number while filling your express entry profile. 2. Pay your fees 3. Reference number will be generated.(This will be used in all your communications with WES) ***Once you submit your profile and reference number is generated you cannot edit your information so do not be in haste, check carefully and then submit.*** ***Your reference number is not ECA report number. You can't use it in Express entry profile. It is only used for communication with WES. When your evaluation is completed and you get your ECA report it will have your ECA number which you will mention in Express Entry application.*** 4. Read all instructions on what documents to send and at which address. *** Put your reference number on all your transcript envelops(at an empty space, not on the seal or signature or anywhere on flaps) and backside of your degree photocopies. I will suggest using a pencil not a pen for that as sometimes pen ink leaks through paper.*** ***You can put all your documents in one big/ master envelope and send to WES. No need to mail everything separately. Make sure again to put your reference number with WES address on the packet.*** ***Do not send any original document to WES unless asked specifically with instructions that they will return it after evaluation.*** 5. you can check status of your application by logging in your WES account. It will show once they have received your documents, your evaluation report will take up to 20 days after your documents are received. Be patient. ***If you are using tracking with your courier and it shows your documents delivered but WES account doesn't show received don't panic. It takes up to a week for WES to update receiving of documents.*** 6. Once your evaluation is completed you most probably will receive an email. You can find pdf copy of your report by logging in your WES account. ***Check your report that everything is correctly mentioned.*** ***No need to wait for hard copy of your report for Express entry if you have got pdf version in your account. It is same and have your report number on it which you can use for express entry profile.*** ***Your ECA is valid for 5 years.*** Note: Do not ask any question if you have not read entire post. If the information is already posted here just check it out. I am no expert but will try to answer any question which I haven't answered here if and only I am sure about that. Will also edit the post and add the point. If I have posted anything wrong feel free to mention and I will edit the post. Good Luck. Cheers.

What can I learn in one minute that will be useful for the rest of my life?
* Sometimes, girls don't need advice, they just want someone to listen. * Don't be the guy who tells a kid that Santa Claus doesn't exist. * Grammar is sexy. * ***If you owe a friend money, pay them back before you start spending on yourself. * *Never trust someone who always takes forever to text you back, but is always texting "someone" when you're around them. * At least once in your life, have a job that you don't do for the money. * If you want your kids to trust you with anything, don't overreact when they do tell you. * The handsome, royal gentleman/the gorgeous, intelligent woman that you want to find so hard, won't be in the nightclubs. * Take her somewhere different. Movies and dinners are played out. She wants to tell her friends great stories. (Thank you, ladies.) * **Now that you've decide where to take her on a date, don't kill it by giving her roses. Give her an orchid. Girls love orchids. * **Girls, if a boy asks you out or proposes to you, and you're not interested in him, tell him nicely. Don't create a scene out of it. * *Choose any day and treat it like a Valentine's Day. Just ask her out ... before someone else does. * **If you can't make her your wife, don't make her a mother. Remember Jon Snow from GOT? * **You can't be old and wise if you were never young and crazy. Live your life. * **Being in a beautiful relationship %3E Being single %3E%3E%3E%3E Being in a shitty relationship. * *Winning an argument isn't worth losing a bro(1). * *Fall in love with someone's eyes. It's the one thing that never changes. Well done, Shakira(2). * ***If you don't understand an article on Wikipedia, change 'en.Wikipedia.org' to 'simple.Wikipedia.org'. A much simpler and clearer version will be available. * *Don't wait for something bad to happen for you to become a good person. * ***Your children follow your example, not your advice. Be the kind of person you want them to be. * *Be an adult when you have to be, be a kid when you can be. * Never lie to your doctor. * Chrome freezes and you can't close a tab? Press 'Shift+Esc', Chrome has its own Task Manager. * Unless you're in the first row at a concert, don't try to record it with your phone. The video and audio would be crap and you'll never watch it again. * Be careful what you wish for. Remember Simba? He couldn't wait to become the new king ... his Dad got kissing dealt with. * "No matter what you do in this life, it won't be legendary unless your friends are there to see it." - Barney Stinson, HIMYM * Spend time with your Father as often as you can. You'll miss Him when you can't anymore. * ***You know, those times in life where you have a grand thought, a fantasy, a wild gesture, a silly prank, anything really, anything that peaks your senses and makes you feel like you are living? If so, then take advantage of such moments. When your brain is telling you to call it a night, but your heart says to keep going, listen to your heart and do something new, do something fun, do something legendary and your brain will thank you for it later. You're welcome. * ***"You're given one little spark of madness, you must not lose it." - Robin Williams Most of the aforementioned advices are from various sources, some are from me. (I wish to be someone's wingman.) Footnote: (1) A girl can be a bro, bro. (2) Shakira married Pique. Pique, who? The most handsome footballer (according to me). P.S. Want more? I have a bevy. Edit (*): Initially, there were 13 (my most favourite number) advices as a part of this answer, I added six more (to make it 19, one of my favourite numbers). Want more? :p Edit 2 (**): Added five more, to make it 24 (another favourite number). Want more? Edit 3 (***): Added five more, to make it 29 (another favourite number).

What should I do to not feel pathetic and demotivated? I have been preparing for the UPSC for the past 2 years and with no succe
Now that I have qualified CSE I would like to highlight the struggle phase. I hope you get a clarity on how the process goes and what is normal/abnormal. During the preparation phase sometimes I used to wonder if I am clinically depressed? The gradual phase-out from all social association has created a bubble around me and there was no one else except me to hover in that bubble. I have to find answer to every question myself ( not the academic questions). Often in the middle of night, I would go back to the memory lane and remember what I used to be:I had a life outside UPSC too, what happened to my college friends, where are they now and what are they doing in their lives. Ominous thoughts used to prevail in the dead of night from time to time: What if I am stuck here, what if I never qualify, what if I never got to do what I love. Will my life be a perpetual reminder of what it looks like when the heart and the brain are not in sync. Did I cry? Yes, I did.( And anyone who says that they don't cry in UPSC journey are plainly lying; the journey is too long and some emotional damage is inevitable, natural outcome of which is letting it go through tears). After each such emotional/sentimental eruption there will be a trigger within which will normalize everything again. I will go back in contemplation mode again. I will count every single thing I sacrificed for this journey. A sense of peace would prevail and I would console myself, going numb without emotions but full with determination. The journey has to be resumed. Someone has to tell you that it's ok to cry, it's ok to feel sad. Many a times it will happen that it is You, yourself who will have to play that someone's role. So, enjoy the process, enjoy the journey. It is not easy but you won't regret at the end of it. As Dan Eldon once said: The journey is the destination. What you go through and how you handle every single day, every single test, every single question in itself is a sign of success. If you measure your journey in these small segments, seeing your name in the holy PDF would just be a matter of time.

As a police officer, have you ever made your supervisor or commander look foolish?
I had a Lieutenant that I seldom seen [The Sgt gives the information [briefing] of the day. Then, for about four months, I seen him almost daily! One day he called me into his office. Here’s the conversation:LT: “Officer, have a seat.”I sat across from his desk.ME: “What’s up Lieutenant ?”LT. “Bill, you feeling Ok? Been sick lately? …The reason I ask is the brass has noticed a big change in you!”ME: “No, why you asking? ..Huh, What change, Sir?”LT: “Man, somethings wrong! Your uniform is ‘hanging’ on you! The shoulder seams are about 3” lower, patches 3″ lower, short sleeves are below your elbow and your trousers are doubled at the waist. The Captain and I have noticed it. The blue stripe don’t start showing till your pockets bottoms out! Sure your Ok?’ME: “Could be this new diet I’m on. The “D” diet!LT: “Never heard of that one!…Heard of the Oatmeal, Grapefruit., Adkins and Weight Watchers… But, not that one. What’s that consist of?”ME: “Oh, about 4 months ago, my cook quit me and found employment else where!”LT: “You had a COOK? On your base pay? I don’t understand!”ME: “Well the Sheriff’s Office served me with divorce papers 4 months ago. Out of two Ex-wives, and now another one, at least one should have taught me to cook, so I eat out daily, one meal a day… Just until I can find me another cook!”LT: “Man, I am so sorry! I didn’t know! We thought you had cancer or something, with the weight loss and all. …Here is a uniform requisition for four more sets make them fit! And good luck on finding another cook! ”A week later, the Captain told me that the LT felt about 3″ tall when he found out what was really going on!*EDITED NOTE*One night I was returning to the District to do paper work when a ‘Intoxicated’ driver almost ran my unmarked vehicle of the road. I executed a ‘U’ turn and gave chase, made the stop and arrested the driver. My Major called me into her office with my lodge rep. and the Lieutenant [mentioned above] She ask me about the incident and I told her what took place. She said, “Officer, when you made the U turn, you started your pursuit against departmental procedures.”“Ma’am??”“When you lost visual contact, you should have discontinued pursuit!”“Ma’am, I don’t know about your car, but mine is equip with REAR VIEW MIRRORS! ..I never lost sight of him…MA’AM!!!”My LT. was laughing so hard he had to excuse himself. She told me, “ GET OUT OF MY OFFICE! ”*Note* Nobody in her command ‘liked her’ not even the other brass! SGT. LT. or CAPT. They ALL loved the come back I gave her !

If someone claimed to have graduated from MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, how do you verify it?
The other answers are official and semi-official ways to verify that someone is not an MIT poseur, but there are a host of informal ways,Are they wearing a Brass Rat? The MIT ring is very distinctive MIT class ring - Wikipedia. Why not?“What living group were you in?” Everyone who went to MIT will know the names of all the dorms and many of the MIT independent living groups. If they say “Bexley, I was really ripped when they tore it down.” That is a good sign. Maybe you wouldn’t want to hire a ex-Bexley person, but they are certainly authentic. Often a true insider will name a particular floor or entry, making the name of the building unnecessary. There is only one meaning for “4 East”.“Oh? What course?” Outsiders will look puzzled and say “Engineering”. Insiders will say 6–3 plus some 18.All buildings have numbers, but many have names too, and there is an elaborate culture around which buildings are called by name and which by number. “Z-Center”, “Stata”, “Walker”, but not 56, 60, 7, 10, etc.

What is your single best school life hack?
Here’s the raw truth: You are NOT going to be the same grammar-wielding, smart-alecky, organized person you are right now— at the end of the semester. This is you now: * Sharpened pencils and organized stationery pouch * HW is done and ready 2 days before the due date * You do the assigned reading every night * Your day is scheduled and predictable * You take detailed notes in every class (and you’re not sleepy) * You’re wearing fresh clothes and accessories * Project team mates seem cool and fun * You are eating breakfast All that is going to change. Gradually, you will let one habit slip, then another, and another. Pretty soon, this is you: * Somebody please donate a spare pencil toward my academic cause! * HW is due at 2:30pm and you’re sitting outside the classroom at 2:20pm with steam coming out the end of your pencil wondering what the question even means * Assigned reading? Ah, that’s optional! * You have that one creased spiral notebook with a ripped corner that you take to every class * You haven’t done laundry and you’re even through your fancy clothes at this point, so it is just deodorant to the rescue! * Your project team members are a bunch of freaking lazy-ass slackers whose class schedules never seem to match up with yours. Oh yeah, two of them are now dating so they show up together or never. * Your morning is a hazy memory and breakfast is for old people. Enough observation, here’s what you do: Instead of being super-organized at the beginning of the semester, have a decent idea of what your day will look like. Don’t immediately pull out the fancy binders and 3M tabs. Psychologically, this will overwhelm you. Be casual and unassuming for the first one week, get a general feel of what the course demands, what your classmates are like, and THEN gradually start organizing your life AROUND an average day. In engineering, we never design for extreme scenarios unless called for. Designing a device always incorporates the conditions that the device will experience after regular use has begun. The beginning of the semester is NOT an average day. There is almost no pressure. A few weeks into the semester is a good time to have your life in decent order. Life Hack (condensed): * Bring out your organizational genius a week into the semester. * When you are super-prim at the very beginning you are declaring the dynamics of the semester. NOBODY, NOBODY can exactly determine that. * We can predict, forecast, model, but we’ll never REALLY know. So start SLOW. * Wear normal clothes, chill, listen in class but don’t be hard on yourself, take time to get to know people.
